Chely Wright has given birth to twin boys with her wife Lauren Blitzer, according to People.

The 42-year-old country singer gave birth to George Samuel and Everett Joseph on Saturday (May 18) in New York City. The boys were named for their great-grandfathers.

“We are grateful for all the amazing medical care and the love and support of family and friends,” Chely told the mag.

Chely and Lauren were married back in August 2011 after the singer publicly came out in 2010.

Country Singer Chely Wright and her wife Lauren Blitzer-Wright have announced they are expecting twins together!

The 42-year-old singer announced she was pregnant on Howard Bragman‘s YouTube show Gwissues.

“When gay couples have babies it’s logistically a little different than when straight people have babies as we all know,” Chely said. “We feel our entire relationship has been blessed. We feel lucky and ready to take on the challenges. We’re excited to be parents and we hope we don’t mess it up too badly!”
