Stars are speaking out after hearing about The Vatican‘s response about same sex marriages.

“Does the Church have the power to give the blessing to unions of persons of the same sex?” was the question and they responded with negative, according to Reuters.

“It is not licit to impart a blessing on relationships, or partnerships, even stable, that involve sexual activity outside of marriage (i.e., outside the indissoluble union of a man and a woman open in itself to the transmission of life), as is the case of the unions between persons of the same sex[6],” they wrote in their response. “The presence in such relationships of positive elements, which are in themselves to be valued and appreciated, cannot justify these relationships and render them legitimate objects of an ecclesial blessing, since the positive elements exist within the context of a union not ordered to the Creator’s plan.”

“Furthermore, since blessings on persons are in relationship with the sacraments, the blessing of homosexual unions cannot be considered licit,” the Vatican’s explanation continued. “This is because they would constitute a certain imitation or analogue of the nuptial blessing[7] invoked on the man and woman united in the sacrament of Matrimony, while in fact ‘there are absolutely no grounds for considering homosexual unions to be in any way similar or even remotely analogous to God’s plan for marriage and family’[8].”

After hearing of the news, many stars including Billy Eichner, Lauren Jauregui, Sunny Hostin, and even Elton John, slammed the church and the statement.

“But it’s cool for them to molest children….bet,” Lauren wrote in the first of a pair of tweets. “Also let’s not forget how most Catholics that exist today got here..look up ‘The Inquisition’ and ‘The Crusades’ I promise you that marrying a couple that loves each other is the least of the Church’s worries as far as disobeying God goes.”

Pope Francis has been known for his support for the right of gay couples to have civil legal protections but has always opposed gay marriage.

During Camila Cabello‘s time in Fifth Harmony, there were continued rumors about her and Lauren Jauregui being into each other.

Lauren went on Becky G‘s En La Sala podcast on Amazon Music and was asked how she felt about those rumors that the pair secretly had something going on behind the scenes.

“People thought Camila and I were into each other, and that made me so uncomfortable. Like disgustingly so uncomfortable, because I was queer, but she was not. It made me feel like a predator, essentially,” Lauren said. “It made me feel like a predator because of the type of clips people would put together, the type of stories people would write, and the type of stuff, I was always the aggressor, and I was always the one turning her. I was always the one who was like the ‘masculine’ energy in the scenario, and it made me very uncomfortable because that’s not how I identify. That’s not to say that that’s wrong to identify with that.”

“I also did not have that connection with her. Camila and I were just very good friends, at that time,” she added. “We respected each other. When each other would talk, we would look at each other. We had love for each other, like genuine friendship.”

“In the Latinx culture, growing up, I was very affectionate with all of my friends,” Lauren continued. “…that actually made me so uncomfortable to the point where, I, to this day, hyper-analyze every connection that I have with a girl because I don’t want them to feel like I’m looking at them that way.”

The 23-year-old solo star and Fifth Harmony member debuted her new song “50ft.” on Friday (April 17).

“I wrote it from a space of reflection on how I interact with the world energetically and this artwork truly encapsulates the feeling of distance spoken about in the song while asserting the closeness of my relationship to my loved ones…who hold me the f–k down always and forever in the midst of it all,” she wrote on Instagram.

“I need more than 50 feet / If your mind, body and soul ain’t aligned / I don’t need you messin’ with mine,” she sings on the track.

Lauren Jauregui has issued an apology for posting an anti-vax video.

The 23-year-old Fifth Harmony singer shared a video that suggested that COVID-19 aka Coronavirus was caused by the flu vaccine.

“I’ve been saying this,” Lauren captioned the video on her Instagram account. “Freedom stripping. We’ll see what’s up when we wake the f—k up.”

Well, Lauren got a ton of backlash from many, criticizing anti-vax theories.

“I’m sorry if anyone was offended by anything in the video I reposted on my story. I am not personally “anti” anything, I am & will always be pro choice & autonomy. I don’t believe anything should be enforced upon anyone,” Lauren wrote.

Lauren Jauregui wants to keep you dancing amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

The former Fifth Harmony member has just dropped her new single English/Spanish single called “Lento” featuring Tainy, embracing her Cuban American heritage in the process.

“I had planned to give you this first taste of what’s coming for some time,” Lauren said in a statement. “There was truly no way any of us could have prepared for what is happening right now, so I hope you receive ‘Lento’ with as much grace and love as is intended.
