Lauv is coming out.

The 29-year-old singer-songwriter shared an update for fans, getting candid and revealing that he is “into men.”

“okay so i spent most of my life thinking relationships weren’t working cause i had attachment issues (which may very well still be true!!! but let’s get to that another time…😨) but basically i would leave every person i was dating after getting anxious and feeling like something was off, or misssing, or like i couldn’t be myself…flashback to me being a kid and thinking i was gay & also getting made fun of mad at school with people just assuming that i was as a little wee kid (sad),” he began.

Released earlier this week, Lauv’s music video for his hit song “Love Somebody” shows him affectionately cuddling a mystery girl throughout the whole video.

While promoting the new music video, he joked that it features the “longest hug ever.” The video started trending on social media and had fans wondering who this mystery girl was. After some speculation, we can confirm that it’s actress Kathrine Herzer.

A close source to the couple reveals, “Quarantine has brought the two closer together and they started officially dating a few months ago.”

Lauv, 25, is best known for his smash hit “I Like Me Better.” Kathrine, 23, starred in the critically acclaimed CBS drama series Madam Secretary, which recently wrapped after six seasons.

The 22-year-old member of BTS uploaded a beautiful rendition of Lauv‘s “Never Not” on the band’s official social media on Saturday (May 2).

Lauv is back!

The 25-year-old singer debuted the music video for his new single “Modern Loneliness” on Thursday (April 16).

The video was directed by Jason Lester, and captured entirely remotely while both were in quarantine, telling the story of the song through Lauv‘s cell phone.

Originally, the music video was set to be shot in Los Angeles in early March with over 100 fans who were going to be reunited with friends they lost touch with, but was canceled amid the pandemic.

Lauv is doing his part to lend a helping hand!

The 25-year-old “I Like Me Better” hit-maker has just dropped an acoustic version of his single “Modern Loneliness” to help benefit Partners in Health pandemic relief efforts.

“Modern Loneliness” was written as both a statement and a commentary on society and our relationships with social media, where we are increasingly “alone together” — a sentiment that is even more relevant during this time.

In addition to taking part in live-streams with Global Citizen and Twitch, Lauv also held an at-home live-stream concert on his YouTube channel and raised an additional $12k after matching every dollar that was raised. In total between the merch bundle and livestreams, Lauv has raised over $30k so far.
