Lea Michele's Performance at Tony Awards 2023: Watch Video of Her Singing 'Don't Rain on My Parade'

Lea Michele brought the house down with her performance at the end of the night at the 2023 Tony Awards!

The 36-year-old actress closed out the show by performing “Don’t Rain on My Parade” from Funny Girl at the Tonys on Sunday night (June 11) at the United Palace Theatre in New York City’s Washington Heights.

Funny Girl was not eligible for any awards this year as it opened in the previous Tonys season. Lea was never eligible for a Tony Award for her performance as Fanny Brice as she did not originate the role in this production. Beanie Feldstein was eligible last year, but did not receive a nomination.

The 36-year-old actress will be performing alongside the cast of the musical Funny Girl and it’s widely believed that they will perform “Don’t Rain on My Parade.”

If this is true, it won’t be the first time Lea sings the song at the Tony Awards. She actually performed the song at the 2010 Tony Awards right after Glee became a massive hit!

Lea Michele's Next Broadway Show: 5 Possible Roles for After 'Funny Girl'

Lea Michele‘s run in the Broadway musical Funny Girl is coming to an end in just over three months and she’s already teased that her next project is lined up.

“I already know what it is,” she told Variety earlier this month at the Met Gala.

So, what is it?

Lea wouldn’t reveal details about the show, but said “you know it,” which seemingly implies that the production will be a revival of a classic musical. Or maybe it will be a stage adaptation of a classic story?
