The first episode of the new game show The Wall aired earlier this week and the contestants won over $1.3 million, which executive producer LeBron James delivered to their home… in cash!
The basketball player showed up at John and Angel Whorton‘s home with two big bags of cash and hand delivered the massive prize to them. The couple assured the star’s fans that the money would be going straight to the bank and would not be kept in the home.
The Whortons happened to live in the LeBron‘s hometown of Akron, so it was the perfect opportunity for him to visit them over the holidays!
“Christmas is the season for giving. Ever seen $1.3 million in cash hand delivered to an amazing family? Merry Christmas everyone! #TheWallonNBC #StriveForGreatness #RWTW,” LeBron captioned the below video on Instagram.
Jay-Z is all smiles while posing on stage alongside LeBron James and his award during the 2016 Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year Ceremony held at Barclays Center on Monday (December 12) in the Brooklyn borough of New York City.
“He is a dedicated family man, who married his childhood sweetheart, Savannah. Has three lovely children, the son who honors and worships his mother, Gloria. The friend who put his pose in position – we know where we come from! The only difference between us and someone who has their MBA… is opportunity,” the 47-year-old rapper expressed. “LeBron James has provided his friends with that opportunity. But, tonight we say thank you. Not just for your commitment to basketball, but for all you’ve done for the community. And thank you for how you’ve enriched the lives of all those around you. You messed around and got a triple double in real life – I wrote that joke myself.”
Michael was honored as the greatest Olympian of all time by fellow Olympian gymnast Aly.
“For me being able to have one more year where I came back and finished things exactly how I wanted,” Michael said during his speech. “I know there are some people out there who know what that feels like, I feel like I’m on top of the world. I was able to get married this year, have my first child. I literally feel like the luckiest man in the world.”
