Lenny Kravitz goes shirtless in this new photo from his interview with Interview magazine.

Here’s what the 47-year-old entertainer, who plays Cinna in The Hunger Games, had to share:

On his thoughts on The Hunger Games: “You know, the film definitely represents these times—from government on down to reality television. It’s interesting that we’re living in these times. Really, when you go back to being in junior high school and reading George Orwell’s ’1984,’ you’re, like, ‘Man, here were are…’ Our characters have changed, our sensibilities. We’re definitely morphing into something different.”

On acting: “It’s a release. I’m just looking for interesting roles and giving acting the respect it deserves. I’m starting out slowly, and I’ll just keep doing things like this and learning until I find the right thing. Then I’ll do my own film—I’m writing a film that I want to direct, which is something very close to me.”

The 38-year-old actress helped Lenny celebrate the launch of his new album, Black and White America.

Over the weekend, Gwyneth won a Creative Arts Emmy Award for her guest spot on Glee.

Gwyn, who previously said she was “totally thrilled” for being nominated, didn’t attend the ceremony since she had just reunited with her kids in London after doing promo work for Contagion.

Lenny Kravitz has been cast as Cinna in The Hunger Games!

The 46-year-old rocker will star opposite Jennifer Lawrence, who’s playing Katniss Everdeen, as her assigned fashion stylist for the Games.

“Though he’s a mild mannered first time stylist, the designs he creates, such as the ‘Girl On Fire’ costume for the tributes’ live televised debut, are show-stopping. With odds being set, wagers being placed, and wealthy benefactors able to occasionally intervene in the games, a high public profile is tantamount to a huge advantage for any contestant entering the arena. The stunning and unique designs Cinna creates for Katniss define her public identity, and in an all too real way, could also contribute to her very survival.”

Dita Von Teese dresses head to toe in black at the Lanvin Ready to Wear Spring/Summer 2011 show at La Halle Freyssinet on Friday (October 1) in Paris, France.

The 38-year-old burlesque dancer sat in the front row, along with Lenny Kravitz and Janet Jackson.

On Thursday, Dita attended French Vogue‘s 90th Anniversary Party, where guests were asked by the magazine’s director, Carine Roitfeld, to bring masks.
