LFO founding member Brian “Brizz” Gillis has sadly passed away, becoming the third member of the 90s pop group to die.

The news was confirmed by the only surviving member of the band, Brad Fischetti, who wrote a touching tribute on his Instagram page.

Brian died on Wednesday (March 29) and he was in his late forties at the time of his death. Some reports say he was either 47 or 48.

The group was formed in 1995 and Brian left in 1999 after he was reportedly frustrated that they hadn’t made much progress. He pursued a solo career and Devin Lima was hired through an open audition. They soon after achieved success with the songs “Summer Girls” and “Girl on TV.”

LFO‘s Brad Fischetti is speaking out about the passing of band mate Devin Lima.

The 43-year-old musician released a statement as well as an emotional video talking about his last moments with Devin.

“It is with a truly broken heart that that I confirm that Harold “Devin” Lima passed away early this morning after a valiant battle with cancer. Devin, as the world knows him, was an extraordinary talent, a doting father to his six children, and a loving partner to their mother. He was a beloved son and brother and a friend to so many,” Brad wrote.

He continued, “On behalf of the LFO family, thank you for the tremendous outpouring of love from friends, family, fans, media, and those in the music industry.”

“A few days before he passed away he said to me, ‘Bro, when it’s over, just tell them I disappeared.’ My friends – Harold “Devin” Lima has disappeared,” Brad said.

LFO singer Devin Lima has passed away at the young age of 41 after a courageous fight with cancer.

The singer died on early Wednesday morning (November 21), a family member told TMZ.

In October 2017, Devin was diagnosed with stage four adrenal cancer, one week after getting a tumor removed from his adrenal gland.

LFO is best known for their hit song “Summer Girls.” Devin was in the group with bandmates Brad Fischetti and Rich Cronin, who died in 2010 after a battle with leukemia.

The 40-year-old LFO singer asked his bandmate, Brad Fischetti, to share the update with fans in a YouTube video posted on Monday (October 30).

“Devin asked me to give you this update without him because, frankly, he’s not feeling very well,” Brad says in the clip. “But, he asked me to send you his love and gratitude for all the love and prayers you’ve sent his way.”

“He’s had a tough recovery,” Brad continued. “He had a few really difficult days in the hospital, but thankfully, he’s home now, resting and healing.”

Brad added that the cancer had invaded Devin‘s kidney, which had to be removed. Devin will also undergo chemotherapy and radiation, as well as take long-term medication.

“I wish we had better news to share,” Brad said. “It’s devastating news but at the same time, there’s nobody I know stronger than Devin Lima. No one has a stronger body, mind or soul. If anybody can defeat this, it’s Devin. I know with your prayers and your thoughts and your positive energy coming down his way, there’s no doubt that he will beat it.”
