Life Unexpected will end its second season with a two-hour finale on Tuesday (January 18th) at 8pm ET on the CW Network.

The show is about a 15-year-old foster child who finds her birth parents and is put in their custody.

The DVD box set of the first and second seasons of the show will be released on April 5th.

While the set was originally supposed to be called “The Complete Series,” it was changed to “The First and Second Seasons,” which gives hope for another season.

Watch the season finale on January 18th to help give the show a third season!

The network is hoping to lure in male viewers with its new action-packed series, Nikita, starring Maggie Q (Mission Impossible III) in the title role as a spy and assassin for a top secret U.S. government agency, who rebels against the system that created her and will stop at nothing to bring their powerful operation to an end. Shiri Appleby joins her Life Unexpected co-stars Austin Basis, Kerr Smith and Kristoffer Polaha at the CW Upfronts held at NYC’s Madison Square Garden on Thursday (May 20).

The cast attended the CW after-party held at Abe & Arthur’s, dinner at Gemma restaurant and then drinks at the Bowey Hotel.

Life Unexpected will air @ 9PM ET/PT on The CW after One Tree Hill. Heading into next season, unlikely threesome Cate, Baze and Lux become a foursome as Ryan joins the family.

The CW has announced its new primetime schedule!

90210 moves to Mondays before Gossip Girl, and both One Tree Hill and Life Unexpected move to Tuesday nights.

Hellcats, starring Ashley Tisdale and Aly Michalka, will air after Top Model on Wednesdays.

Life Unexpected actress Shiri Appleby lends her support to designer Monique Lhuillier backstage at her Fall 2010 Fashion Show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at the Promenade at Bryant Park on Monday (February 15) in New York City.

Here’s what the 31-year-old star shared:

JJ: What do you love about Monique?

SA: She’s just so feminine and she has an edge to her – later on in the season [on Life Unexpected], I get into a wedding dress and I was just very adamant that I wanted to be wearing Monique Lhuillier. This is my first show, so it’s nice to be at her show for the first time!

JJ: Did you shoot that scene already? How was it?

SA: We shot it! Amazing, the whole show. We finished shooting on Wednesday. I love the glamour of her dress – you walk out and it’s strapless and I had one of those long veils – it was very Princess Diana! I just feel really happy that people are watching it and paying attention to things!

JJ: What’s your favorite prop from the show?

SA: I think probably the radio mics we use in the radio station – I just love any of those scenes so it makes me feel like a real radio DJ.

JJ: Are you obsessed with reality TV at all?

SA: No – unfortunately, I work so much I don’t watch too much TV! I’ve been watching [the 80's show] Thirtysomething on DVD – I don’t think that counts!

By the grace of the fashion gods out there, I was able to sit next to Shiri during the show. “Loved popping my fashion show cherry with you!” she laughed.

Kristoffer Polaha shows off his dreamboat looks in the March 2010 issue of Da Man magazine, as captured by celeb photog Mitchell McCormack. Here’s what the 32-year-old Life Unexpected actor shared with JustJared.com:

JJ: Could you tell us about your character, Nate (aka Baze)?

KP: He goes by the name of Nate, he owns a bar that he lives above and he sort of is a ne’er-do-well who refuses to grow up, I suppose, until he is confronted with his 15-year-old daughter who he had with own Portland’s own Cate Cassidy and he sort of, without a moment of hesitation, decides to try to be a father figure to this kid and hijinks ensue. Hijinks and high drama!

JJ: What’s your favorite prop from the set?

KP: (laughs) The prop that’s gotten the most use and that we’ve talked about the most is a bong lamp – it’s a lamp that my character had as a college student, let’s say, and then they turned it into a lamp. He gifts it to Lux and you’ll see it in the episode as it unfolds – but I would have to say that that’s probably my favorite prop!
