Lindsay Shookus has announced that she is leaving Saturday Night Live after working on the show for the past 20 years.

The 42-year-old producer, who served as the head of SNL‘s talent department, said in an Instagram post that she doesn’t know where she’ll be going next, but knows it will be “someplace good.”

Lindsay started her tenure at SNL as an assistant in 2002 after graduating from college. She became an associate producer in 2008, a co-producer in 2010, and a producer in 2012. She won six Emmy Awards during her time at the show!

As the head of the talent department, she was “responsible for booking hosts and musical guests as well as scouting new cast members,” according to Deadline.

Lindsay was famously linked to Ben Affleck. They had an on-off relationship between 2017 and 2019.

If you don’t know, Lindsay famously dated Ben Affleck for years, with their final breakup happening in 2019.

SNL creator Lorne Michaels was seen exiting with Colin Jost, while producer Lindsay Shookus exited with Rege-Jean Page, who makes his hosting debut on Saturday (February 20).

The engaged couple was spotted heading to Zengo following Jennifer‘s hosting gig on Saturday Night Live for the show’s weekly after-party on Saturday night (December 7) in New York City.

Plenty of celebs also attended the show’s party, including Jennifer‘s Hustlers co-star Julia Stiles, as well as late night host and SNL alum Jimmy Fallon. Ben Affleck‘s ex, Lindsay Shookus, arrived for the event as well. Emma Stone and Dave McCary also made their debut as a newly engaged couple there!

Rumors have been swirling that Lindsay Shookus and Jon Hamm could be a new couple… and they were both at the 2019 Emmy Awards last night!

The rumors began after the 39-year-old Saturday Night Live producer and the 48-year-old Mad Men actor were spotted at a Broadway show together last weekend.

At the Emmys on Sunday night (September 22), Lindsay won an award for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series for her work on SNL. This is her fourth win!

Jon was a presenter at the show and also walked the red carpet at the Amazon after party while Lindsay was spotted at the HBO party.

A source told People that the two stars “have been friends for more than a decade.”

Lindsay previously dated Ben Affleck.
