Dave Chappelle Defends Louis C.K. Amid Sexual Misconduct Scandal

Dave Chappelle is coming to Louis C.K.‘s defense amid his sexual assault scandal.

During the New Year’s Eve Netflix special The Bird Revelation, Dave called Louis‘ accusers “weak” for claiming his sexual misconduct kept them from pursuing a career in comedy.

“Louis was like the turning point. All these allegations were terrible – I shouldn’t say this – but his allegations were the only ones that made me laugh,” Dave said. “When you think about it, he’s jerking off – he’s surprising people. … I picture all the comics in comedy reading it like, ‘Word!’ It’s terrible, I’m sorry ladies, you’re right. At the same time, Jesus Christ, they took everything from Louis. It might be disproportionate, I can’t tell. This is where it’s hard to be man.”

Back in November Louis confirmed all the sexual assault allegations against him and ultimately lost his partnership with HBO.

“You think if Louis C.K. jerked off in front of Dr. [Martin Luther] King, he’d be like, ‘I can’t continue this movement? I’m sorry, but the freedom of black people must be stopped,” Dave went on. “I didn’t know this n—- was going to pull his dick out and jerk off like this. I thought we were going to get a couple of drinks and chill.’ Show business is just harder than that – them women sounded like, I hate to say it, they sounded weak. I know it sounds f—ed up and I’m not supposed to say that, but one of these ladies was like, ‘Louis C.K. was masturbating while I was on the phone with him.’ Bitch, you don’t know how to hang up the phone? How the hell are you going to survive in show business if this is an actual obstacle to your dreams? I know Louis is wrong, I’m just saying, I’m held to a higher standard of accountability than these women are.”

Sarah Silverman Breaks Silence on Longtime Friend Louis C.K.

Sarah Silverman is breaking her silence about the allegations surrounding her longtime friend Louis C.K.

The comedian got candid about the situation on her show I Love You, America, where she talked about being very angry on behalf of the victims and very sad because Louis is her friend.

“One of my best friends of over 25 years, Louis C.K., masturbated in front of women. He wielded his power with women in fucked-up ways, sometimes to the point where they left comedy entirely. I could couch this with heartwarming stories of our friendship and what a great dad he is – but that’s totally irrelevant, isn’t it? Yes, it is,” Sarah said.

She added, “I hope it’s OK if I am at once very angry for the women he wronged and the culture that enabled it, and also sad, because he’s my friend…It’s vital that people are held accountable for their actions, no matter who they are.”

Louis C.K. Responds to Sexual Misconduct Allegations: 'These Stories Are True'

Louis C.K. is confirming that the explosive report that ran in the New York Times earlier this week, in which five women came forward with allegations of sexual misconduct, is true.

“These stories are true. At the time, I said to myself that what I did was okay because I never showed a woman my dick without asking first, which is also true. But what I learned later in life, too late, is that when you have power over another person, asking them to look at your dick isn’t a question. It’s a predicament for them,” he wrote in the statement issued on Friday (November 10).

“I’ve brought pain to my family, my friends, my children and their mother. I have spent my long and lucky career talking and saying anything I want. I will now step back and take a long time to listen.”

HBO Cuts Ties with Louis C.K., FX Is Reviewing the Allegations

Louis C.K. was accused of sexual misconduct by five women in a new expose today and now HBO and FX have responded to the allegations.

HBO has announced it will be parting ways with C.K. and he has been removed from the lineup of the upcoming Night of Too Many Stars special, set to air on November 18. The network is also dropping his comedy specials from its on-demand service.

Louis C.K. will no longer be participating in the Night of Too Many Stars: America Unites for Autism Programs, which will be presented live on HBO on November 18,” HBO said in a statement. “In addition, HBO is removing Louis C.K.‘s past projects from its On Demand services.”

FX, which airs his show Louie and other ones he executive produces like Baskets and Better Things, has also responded.

“We are obviously very troubled by the allegations about Louis C.K. published in The New York Times today. The network has received no allegations of misconduct by Louis C.K. related to any of our 5 shows produced together over the past 8 years,” the company said in a statement. “FX Networks and FXP take all necessary actions to protect our employees and thoroughly investigate any allegations of misconduct within our workplace. That said, the matter is currently under review.”

Louis CK Accused of Sexual Misconduct By Five Women

Comedian Louis CK has been accused of sexual misconduct by five women.

The New York Times piece begins with comedy duo Dana Min Goodman and Julia Wolov, who met the comedian at a comedy festival in Aspen back in 2002. He invited them back to his hotel room, and then asked if he could pull out his genitalia.

“And then he really did it,” Dana said. “He proceeded to take all of his clothes off, and get completely naked, and started masturbating.’”

The three other women who spoke, Abby Schachner, comedian Rebecca Corry and a fifth woman who did not reveal her name, all had similar stories of what happened when they were alone with Louis CK.

Rebecca described an incident while working on a pilot produced by Courteney Cox and her ex David Arquette. Louis allegedly asked her back to his dressing room so he could perform a sex act on himself.

“What happened to Rebecca on that set was awful,” Courteney said in an email. My concern was to create an environment where Rebecca felt safe, protected and heard.”

Louis has apparently refused to comment on the situation, saying via his publicist, “Louis is not going to answer any questions.”

Louis started off his monologue with a story about why the chicken crossed the road.

“Why did the chicken cross the road? Because a black guy was behind him and he was nervous,” Louis said. “By the way, this joke is not racist. Don’t be afraid. The chicken was racist.”

He then went on tell a story about how he used white privilege to talk down to a hotel employee once.
