Angelina Jolie joins her friend and collaborator Loung Ung on the red carpet at the 2018 Critics’ Choice Awards held at The Barker Hangar on Thursday (January 11) in Santa Monica, Calif.

They are at the event to support their film First They Killed My Father, which Angelina directed and Loung co-wrote. The movie is nominated for Best Foreign Language Film.

Angelina is back on the west coast after a quick trip to New York City with two of her daughters to attend the NBR Awards.

Angelina Jolie is joined by two of her kids on the red carpet at the 2018 National Board of Review Awards Gala on Tuesday night (January 9) at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.

The 42-year-old actress and filmmaker was joined by daughters Shiloh and Zahara, as well as First They Killed My Father co-writer and subject Loung Ung.

Shiloh‘s left arm was in a sling after she reportedly broke a bone during a family vacation to Lake Tahoe.

Angelina was at the event to accept the Freedom of Expression Award for her film First They Killed My Father.

Angelina Jolie and Loung Ung accept the Rising Star Award on behalf of First They Killed My Father star Sreymoch Sareum earlier this week during the Asian World Film Festival in the Los Angeles area.

Sreymoch Sareum portrayed the role of Loung Ung in the film, which is currently available to stream on Netflix. Angelina directed the film and also co-wrote it with Loung.

Today, it was just announced that Angelina and the accomplished writer and activist will be receiving an award at the Hollywood Film Awards this coming Sunday, November 5.More Here! »

Angelina Jolie and author Loung Ung are set to receive the Hollywood Foreign Language Film Award at the Hollywood Film Awards for their movie, First They Killed My Father.

The two co-wrote the film together, and Angelina also directed the movie. The Hollywood Film Awards officially kick off awards season, and will take place this coming Sunday, November 5, live from Beverly Hills, Calif.

If you didn’t know, the film has also been selected by Cambodia’s Oscar submission for Best Foreign Language Film.
