Hilary Duff is talking about her own music career!

The 32-year-old Younger actress and Breathe In. Breathe Out. singer spoke out in an interview with Elle.

When asked about future music plans, Hilary said: “I always get this question and I feel so bad for [being] like, “No, I’m not doing anything right now.” I feel like I’m going to have a music career forever and who knows how successful it’ll be or what kind of turns it’s going to take. Music is such an important part of my life and has always been a big outlet for me. Having Matt [Koma, her fiancé] living at my house, I feel like I could always be like, “I want to make a record,” and he’s like, “Oh God, okay, let’s go.” He’s so supportive and talented. I don’t want to say never, but there’s nothing in the works right now.”

Later on, she was asked about any song in particular that she reflects on, or that people ask her about the most.

“That’s a hard one for me. Obviously the diehards love Metamorphosis and then a lot of people are also like, ‘Breathe In. Breathe Out. was such a good record, it was so underrated.’ It’s so funny because you never know what’s going to happen. I really have amazing fans that pay attention to what I say and have stuck it out with me through a very long career,” she said.

“I love this song called ‘Shine,”‘ she went on to say.

“It wasn’t a single or anything, but I’ve noticed that I’ve been singing it to Luca [Duff's 7-year-old son] a lot at night when he’s going to bed. It’s such a sweet song and I remember loving to perform that live. It was on my self-titled record.”

Hilary Duff Reflects on Becoming a Young Mom at Age 24

Hilary Duff is speaking out about what it was like to become a mom at the age of 24 to her son Luca, 7, with her ex Mike Comrie.

“It was a little isolating in the beginning because I didn’t have any friends that had babies yet,” the 31-year-old actress and singer said on The Motherly Podcast. “But I had been working for such a long time that it felt like a natural step for me and I always knew I wanted to be a mom and I always knew that was going to be my number one priority in life. So, I felt ready on some fronts and a little scared on others, but really I only got scared once I was pregnant, you know, thinking like, ‘Oh this is actually really happening. What if this? What if that?’”

She also spoke about what happened after Luca was born, saying, “I did feel like after I had him, I lost a big chunk of my identity for like maybe the first year and a half, but I don’t think that was a negative thing.”

Hilary continued, “At times, I was sad about it, but you know it’s full on. I don’t remember setting him down for the first three months of life. I was obsessively googling things and I just took it really seriously that I didn’t realize how all encompassing it would be. I knew it was the most important, biggest job in the world but you know, it looks very different once you’re just in the household with the baby by yourself all the time. It was shocking and it was also the happiest, most beautiful experience, so those two things butting up against each other is quite a strange mix sometimes.”
