Matt Damon walks the red carpet at the premiere of his new flick Hereafter with wife Luciana at the closing night of the New York Film Festival on Sunday (October 10) in NYC.

The 40-year-old actor and his wife are expecting their third child together later this year. The couple announced the exciting news back in April.

Hereafter, directed by Clint Eastwood, tells three parallel stories of three different people all affected by death in some way. Matt plays a man who can communicate with the dead in the pic, which opens on October 15th!

Matt Damon and his wife, Luciana, are expecting their third child!!

The 39-year-old actor and his wife married in late 2005 and have two children together – Isabella, 3, and Gia, 21 months.

“Everyone is excited,” Matt‘s rep told Us Weekly, who broke the news exclusively.

Luciana is also the mother to Alexia, 11, from a previous marriage.

Congratulations to the happy family!!

Matt Damon gets the support of his wife Lucy at American Cinematheque’s 24th Annual Award Presentation to Matt Damon at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday (March 27).

The ceremony was attended by his longtime pals and colleagues including Ben Affleck (with wife Jennifer Garner), Charlize Theron, Greg Kinnear, Casey Affleck, Robin Williams, Don Cheadle, Clint Eastwood, Jimmy Kimmel, and Sarah Silverman.

Kimmel joked during his opening monologue, “They must be running out of stars for awards. Who will we honor next year? Vanessa Hudgens?”

When accepted his award, Matt shared, “I can honestly say that there’s a good chance that next year Ben [Affleck] will be here, presenting this award to someone else. There’s a lot of buzz about Vanessa Hudgens.”

A taped version of the event, “Hollywood Salutes Matt Damon: An American Cinematheque Tribute,” will air next month on ABC.

FYI: Matt wore a black Ferragamo 3-piece tuxedo and black tramezza shoes.

The 39-year-old actor is up for the award for Best Supporting Actor for his work in Invictus!

Matt is up against Woody Harrelson, Christopher Plummer, Stanley Tucci and Christoph Waltz.

Matt Damon and his wife Luciana arrive at the premiere of Invictus at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Theater on Thursday (December 3) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 39-year-old actor posed for photos with co-star Morgan Freeman and the film’s director, Clint Eastwood before the film, which tells the true story of how Nelson Mandela (Freeman) united South Africa by joining forces with the captain of the country’s rugby team (Damon).

Last week, Matt told guests at the Museum of the Moving Image Gala that Lucy has been a strong influence on his projects. “I have come to judge good jobs and good directors by how my wife feels about them,” he said.

“And my wife loves Clint Eastwood.”

Matt Damon and his adorable family cross the street together on the way to the set of The Adjustment Bureau in New York City on Monday (October 26).

Matt‘s wife Luciana brought Isabella, 3, and Gia, 15 months, as well as her daughter Alexia, 11, to the set for a day of family fun.

Recently, Matt, 39, sat down with Parade magazine and talked about the example he wants to set for his girls.

“I try to keep my trips short because my kids are so young that my wife, Lucy, can’t come. We don’t like to be separated, but we both feel it’s so important to learn about these things.

“In the future, I know these trips are something we’ll do as a family…. I can’t think of any more important value to instill in our children than the desire to help others. I feel strongly about setting an example for them.”
