Luke Wilson is the newest addition to the DC Universe!

The 47-year-old actor is set to join the cast of the DC Universe series Stargirl, Deadline reported on Tuesday (January 8).

Luke will play mechanic-turned-superhero Pat Dugan, who pilots Stripe, a 15-foot robot.

Brec Bassinger plays the title role, a high school student who inherits the cosmic device of a long-gone superhero. Lou Ferrigno Jr. plays Rex Tyler/Hourman, Brian Stapf is Ted Grant/Wildcat, Henry Thomas is Charles McNider/Dr Mid-Nite and Anjelika Washington stars in an as-of-yet undisclosed role.

“When I first moved to Los Angeles in 1996 and saw Bottle Rocket, I became a huge fan and admirer of Luke’s and I literally wrote this part for Luke, hoping that someday and somehow he’d play Pat Dugan. I only envisioned him. And now I feel like I won the lottery! Luke’s talent, humor, compassion — his presence and professionalism — and his creative collaboration, his ideas — we’re so lucky to have him alongside Brec in Stargirl,” said showrunner Geoff Johns.

Luke Wilson and Niall Horan are having a friendly competition!

The two were among the many stars who participated in the 10-hole celebrity challenge match ahead of the 2018 Ryder Cup at Le Golf National on Tuesday (September 25) in Paris, France.

The U.S. team included Samuel L. Jackson, Condoleezza Rice, Kurt Russell and Michael Phelps. Niall was part of the European team.

The U.S. team won against the Europeans, 15-13.

“Hopefully we started the week off good for the boys, and they go out and get the job done,” said Michael.

The American team also won the Junior Ryder Cup at Golf Disneyland.

Nicole Kidman had some fun on the set of The Goldfinch this afternoon!

The 50-year-old actress was spotted making some funny faces before filming on Monday (March 12) in New York City.

She was joined by her co-star Luke Wilson as well as a few young actors, including Broadway star Ryan Foust.

The Goldfinch follows a boy in New York who is taken in by a wealthy Upper East Side family after his mother is killed in a bombing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The film is set to hit theaters on October 11, 2019.

Luke Wilson is being hailed as a “hero” after helping pulling a woman out of her car after a deadly car crash happened this week in Pacific Palisades, Calif.

Sean Heirigs said he and Luke were on the scene after the crash.

“At one point, [Wilson] was like, ‘Let’s get her out of here, it smells like smoke,’” Sean told People. “You don’t know if it’s going to blow up or not. So, I reached in through a window to calm her down. Luke went around the back, to the trunk of the car. We pried it open, she was able to unbuckle herself, and Luke started to pull her out from the back. We then both carried her to the curb.”

“He was calm. He was definitely a hero, [a] super nice guy,” Sean added. “When it was all done, we hugged each other.”

Luke was one of the drivers who was indirectly involved in the crash, and didn’t sustain injuries. One man died, and golfer Bill Haas was also injured.

Actor Luke Wilson was indirectly involved in a fatal head on collision car accident on Tuesday evening (February 13) in Pacific Palisades, Calif.

According to NBC News, the 46-year-old actor was driving when his car was clipped by a Ferrari, which then went on to crash into a BMW. Luke did not sustain any injury.

The Ferrari was driven by a 71-year-old man who died in the crash. The passenger in the Ferrari was golfer Bill Haas, who is in the hospital and apparently in stable condition. Bill is a six-time PGA Tour winner.

Our thoughts are with all those involved and affected by this accident.

Gerard Butler is in great spirits as he hits the red carpet at the premiere of Bunker77 held at the Aero Theater on Wednesday (November 1) in Santa Monica, Calif.

The 47-year-old actor was joined at the event by Joel Kinnaman, Jeffrey Wright, Luke Wilson, the Red Hot Chili Peppers‘ Anthony Kiedis, Rick Rubin, Matt Bellamy and his girlfriend Elle Evans and director Takuji Masuda.
