L’Wren Scott was found dead, hanging in her apartment, on Monday morning (March 17), according to the New York Daily News.

The 49-year-old fashion designer was found by her assistant at around 10am this morning in New York City, the police said. The police do not suspect foul play, but the Medical Examiner’s Office will determine a cause of death.

L’Wren, who started her career as a model and then a very influential celebrity stylist, has been in a long-term relationship with rocker Mick Jagger since 2001.

Ke$ha puts her arms around Mick Jagger at the launch celebration of the Banana Republic L’Wren Scott Collection hosted by Banana Republic, L’Wren Scott and Vanity Fair‘s Krista Smith held at the Chateau Marmont on Tuesday (November 19) in West Hollywood, Calif.

If you remember, the 26-year-old singer put Mick‘s name into her hit 2009 song “Tik Tok” with the lyric: “Now, the dudes are lining up cause they hear we got swagger/But we kick em to the curb unless they look like Mick Jagger.”

Also in attendance at the event was Rashida Jones with Will Peltz, Community‘s Gillian Jacobs, Stacy Keibler, Mick‘s girlfriend and designer of the evening L’Wren Scott, Jaimie Alexander with her stylist Emilie Pereira and celeb colorist Tracey Cunningham, and JustJared.com‘s Jared Eng.

Amber Heard joins Ellen Barkin and stylist Cristina Ehrlich – pictured below – for an intimate dinner to fete the Fall/Winter 2012 collection of L’Wren Scott at the Rose Bar inside NYC’s Gramercy Park Hotel on Thursday (February 17).

Other notable guests included: Mick Jagger, Jared Leto, fashionista Daphne Guinness, photographer Terry Richardson, beauty entrepreneur Aerin Lauder, W magazine Editor-in-Chief Stefano Tonchi, British stylist Annabel Tollman, and SNL boss Lorne Michaels.
