“We’ve been fans of Anthony Gonzalez and M83 for a long long time so when he reached out to have us sing on the song we were ecstatic,” HAIM told MTV News. “We had the best time in the studio with him, it all happened so fast and was so easy and natural. We are so excited to be a part of this movie.”

Should Katy Perry and M83‘s Anthony Gonzalez team up to make some new music?

“I think I saw Katy Perry dancing [to] ‘Midnight City’ yesterday night,” Anthony wrote on the band’s Facebook page after performing at the 2012 Coachella Music Festival. “Katy, let me write your next album!”

Katy‘s also been vocal about being a fan of M83.

“I’ve been listening to, well, I guess it would have to be M83‘s last record, this past record. I think I’m going to see him at Coachella. Oh man, I’m so there. I love it so much,” she previously told MTV News.
