“There is no version of this [series] ending that is not super-painful for me, and mostly it’s because of these people, and this person,” Jon shared about the show and cast during the panel.

He added, “They’ve been the single constant in my creative life for the last decade, so that’s kind of tough. Yeah, I will be happy when the shows air and I won’t have to talk like I don’t know how it ends, or make up some story about robots or zombies or something, but I will never be able to have this again. I mean, that’s a drag.”

FYI: Elisabeth is wearing an A.L.C. dress.

'Mad Men' Season 7 Premiere Is Lowest in Viewers Since 2008

While it seemed like there could not have been more anticipation than ever for Mad Men, the season seven premiere last night had its lowest premiere viewership since 2008.

The episode drew in 2.3 million viewers, which was just ahead of season two’s debut with 2.06 million people watching, according to Deadline.

To put this in perspective, last year’s season six debuted with a two hour episode that brought in 3.5 million viewers and season five’s premiere was the most watched episode of the series with 3.6 million viewers.

This will be the final season of Mad Men, but it has been split into two parts so we won’t see the ending until 2015.

WHAT DID YOU THINK of the season seven premiere of Mad Men?

Mad Men's Vincent Kartheiser Shows Off Shaved Hairline

Mad Men fans may not have realized that when they saw Vincent Kartheiser‘s hair receding on the series last year, that it wasn’t actually happening to the actor in real life!

The 34-year-old actor stepped out at the show’s season seven premiere this week showing off his shaved hairline that he had done for the series.

“It doesn’t bother me, one way or the other,” he told E! News about the interesting hairdo.

“Most of my friends were like, ‘Dude, don’t do that, it might never come back in!’” Vincent previously told Vulture. “But luckily I have a good head of hair.”

'Mad Men' Ending After Season 7, Split for 2014 & 2015

The hit AMC show Mad Men will end after season seven, which will air in 2015.

The network also announced that it will be splitting the final season in two – part will air in 2014 and the final episodes in 2015.

“This approach has worked well for many programs across multiple networks, and, most recently for us with Breaking Bad which attracted nearly double the number of viewers to its second half premiere than had watched any previous episode,” AMC President Charlie Collier said in a statement. “We are determined to bring Mad Men a similar showcase. In an era where high-end content is savored and analyzed, and catch-up time is used well to drive back to live events, we believe this is the best way to release the now 14 episodes than remain of this iconic series.”

Mad Men stars Jon Hamm, January Jones, Christina Hendricks, Jessica Pare, Elisabeth Moss, and more.
