Maggie Gyllenhaal keeps it vintage while attending the 2013 Sundance Institute Theatre Program Benefit held at Stephen Weiss Studio on Monday (April 8) in New York City.

The 35-year-old actress is scheduled to perform at the benefit, which honors “an emerging playwright who embodies visionary storytelling and is developing a project that engages audiences in a fresh and exciting way.”

The Theatre Program Benefit aims to raise funds to offset the non-profit Institute’s year-round programs for artists, including Labs, grants and the Sundance Film Festival.

It was recently reported that Maggie‘s younger brother Jake Gyllenhaal, her Crazy Heart co-star Jeff Bridges, and Tobey Maguire are being considered to replace Jude Law in the upcoming film Jane Got a Gun, also starring Natalie Portman.

Jane Got A Gun centers on “a woman whose outlaw husband returns home riddled with bullets, spurring her to team up with her ex-lover (Joel Edgerton) in order to seek revenge against the man responsible (the villain role yet to be cast).”

It was just announced that the 35-year-old actress will perform musical selections from the new musical Fun Home at the Sundance Institute Theatre Program Benefit in NYC on April 8!

The musical, which is written by Lisa Kron and Jeanine Tesori, will also feature performances from Judy Kuhn and David Hyde Pierce. Sally Field and Cherry Jones will also be participating in the benefit.

Maggie Gyllenhaal strikes a pose as she graces the cover Woman & Home magazine’s January 2013 issue, on stands now.

Here’s what the 34-year-old actress had to share with the mag:

On her life: “I feel like I’ve entered a new era in my life, and it’s very liberating. As you grow up, your life changes and so does the way you think. I’ve come to the point in my life where I’m doing things differently. I’m enjoying having a new perspective and steering my life in a different direction.”

On the roles she chooses: “I feel more comfortable with the idea of being seductive and powerful in the roles I want to play. I have a tremendous love for difficult material but those choices can be limiting and often you don’t get to work as much as you’d like to. After I had Ramona, I suddenly felt a maternal impulse to be a good working mom too.”

On womanhood: “I’ve grown into womanhood – I don’t feel a need to be different anymore. I don’t see myself as being limited to smaller, independent films. I chose a lot of those roles in the past because I was drawn to playing extreme or eccentric women, but you can also achieve a lot with very ordinary characters, and that’s the beauty of what you can do as an actress.”
