Malin Akerman attends the People’s Choice Awards 2011 on Wednesday (January 5) held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles.

The 32-year-old Swedish actress. who posed backstage with Taylor Swift and Conan O’Brien, was also joined by Nikita‘s Maggie Q and Shane West at the event.

USA Today caught up with Malin on the red carpet and asked about her upcoming role as Linda Lovelace in the movie, Inferno.

“I’m very excited. It’s a beautiful script,” Malin shared. “It’s a story of a woman’s life — who was really tortured.”

In November, Malin replaced Lindsay Lohan who was originally slated to take the lead role.

Six new character posters have been released for the film Priest, including Maggie Q, who stars in the film as the Warrior Priestess.

Priest, a post-apocalyptic sci fi thriller, is set in an alternate world — one ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires. The story revolves around a legendary Warrior Priest (Paul Bettany) from the last Vampire War who now lives in obscurity among the other downtrodden human inhabitants in walled-in dystopian cities ruled by the Church.

When his niece (Lily Collins) is abducted by a murderous pack of vampires, Priest breaks his sacred vows to venture out on an obsessive quest to find her before they turn her into one of them. He is joined on his crusade by his niece’s boyfriend (Cam Gigandet), a trigger-fingered young wasteland sheriff, and a former Warrior Priestess (Maggie Q) who possesses otherworldly fighting skills.

During the panel, Maggie Q was asked about her 2007 movie Balls of Fury and if she really plays ping-pong

Maggie shared, “Well, I don’t want to brag, but the guy who trained me, trained the Chinese Olympic team.”

A new episode of spy series Nikita airs this Thursday (October 14) @ 9PM ET/PT on The CW!

Nikita stars Maggie Q and Lyndsy Fonseca strike a pose at the InStyle HFPA Party during the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival at Windsor Arms Hotel on Tuesday (September 14) in Canada.

Maggie, 31, and Lyndsy, 23, are both looking hot!

The Hawaiian-born Mission Impossible III actress recently told USA Today about what the show needs, saying, “”Nikita needs a dog. She needs to be on a mission and find one, a rescue. She needs a mutt from the streets, who’s like her and went through a lot and is angry and is trying to be hot!”

The series premiere of The CW’s new kick-ass show Nikita delivered the largest audience (3.6 million) in the time period in over 18 months. Impressive!

The show also built on its Vampire Diaries premiere lead-in by 9% in total viewers (3.6mil v. 3.3mil).

Congrats to the cast of Nikita — Maggie Q, Shane West, and Lyndsy Fonseca! A job well done.

The show, one of The CW’s brand new offerings, stars Maggie Q as a former spy and assassin that vows to destroy the secret agency that has trained her. After she loses someone important to her, Nikita realizes she’s been betrayed and will stop at nothing to expose her bosses and their operation.

Maggie Q rubs shoulders with fellow CW star Ashley Tisdale during the Summer TCA Party at California’s Beverly Hilton Hotel on Wednesday (July 28).

The day after, the 30-year-old actress and co-star Shane West hit the stage during the Nikita panel.

Q shared, “There’s a hook after every episode on Nikita. There’s always this thing that makes you go, ‘What?’ and makes you want to tune in for the next week. And it’s all very real. It’s not contrived, it’s not something that we’re cheesily trying to hook you in with. It genuinely is just solid storyline and, ‘I want to know why that person did this or where they’re going with this’.”

Nikita premieres on Thursday (September 9) @ 9PM ET/PT on The CW.
