Jeremy Renner has donated $20,000 to Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Texas to help cover some of the costs incurred by the hospital during Hurricane Harvey.

The 46-year-old Avengers star raised the funds by asking his fans to make donations to the hospital as part of a contest for an Avengers set visit.

“As a father I can think of no better way to give back, to show support and love than to a child,” Jeremy said in a statement. “I hope this donation to Driscoll Children’s Hospital on behalf of myself, my daughter Ava and my fans help ease some of the suffering and hardship that Hurricane Harvey inflicted. Much love to you all and hoping for a very speedy recovery.”

The cast of Hairspray Live! performed “You Can’t Stop The Beat” in the 2016 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday, November 24.

The all-star cast of the upcoming holiday musical includes Harvey Fierstein, Jennifer Hudson, Ariana Grande, Kristin Chenoweth, Martin Short, Derek Hough, Dove Cameron, Garrett Clayton, Shahadi Wright Joseph, Ephraim Sykes, exciting newcomer Maddie Baillio and special guest stars Billy Eichner, Sean Hayes, Andrea Martin and Rosie O’Donnell.

Hairspray Live! will air from Los Angeles on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. You won’t want to miss it. Watch the Thanksgiving Day Parade performance below!

There are just two weeks left until the cast of Hairspray Live! performs the show on NBC and we are SO excited to see the amazing stars put on the production.

Newcomer Maddie Baillio is leading the cast as Tracy Turnblad with an amazing roster of performers that also included the Broadway production’s original star Harvey Fierstein as Edna Turnblad and theater legend Kristin Chenoweth as Velma Von Tussle.

Members of the cast are set to appear on Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and we can’t wait to see them rock it on the holiday stage.
