Katrina Lenk & Patti LuPone Open 'Company' on Broadway - See the Full Cast's Opening Night Photos!

The Broadway revival of the classic Stephen Sondheim musical Company finally had its opening night this week after being delayed by the pandemic!

Katrina Lenk, Patti LuPone, and the rest of the star-studded cast walked the red carpet at the after party on Thursday night (December 9) in New York City.

In attendance were co-stars Matt Doyle, Christopher Fitzgerald, Christopher Sieber, Jennifer Simard, Terence Archie, Etai Benson, Bobby Conte, Nikki Renee Daniels, Claybourne Elder, Greg Hildreth, Manu Narayan, and Rashidra Scott, as well as ensemble members and understudies Kathryn Allison, Britney Coleman, Jacob Dickey, Javier Ignacio, Anisha Nagarajan, Nicholas Rodriguez, Heath Saunders, Tally Sessions, and Matt Wall.

Here is the show’s synopsis: “It’s Bobbie’s 35th birthday party, and all her friends keep asking, Why isn’t she married? Why can’t she find the right man and isn’t it time to settle down and start a family? As Bobbie searches for answers, she discovers why being single, being married, and being alive in 21st-Century New York could drive a person crazy.”

Broadway's 'Company' Revival Debuts First Look Photos!

A brand new production of the classic Stephen Sondheim and George Furth musical Company is coming to Broadway next week and here’s your first look at the cast in costume!

The new take on the musical features gender-swapped casting with Tony winner Katrina Lenk taking on the role of Bobbie, originally Bobby in previous productions. Patti LuPone is playing Joanne and will sing the iconic song “The Ladies Who Lunch.”

Here’s a brief synopsis for the show: At Bobbie’s 35th birthday party, all her friends are wondering why isn’t she married? Why can’t she find the right man? And, why can’t she settle down and have a family?

Also starring in the show are Matt Doyle as Jamie, Christopher Fitzgerald as David, Christopher Sieber as Harry, Jennifer Simard as Sarah, Terence Archie as Larry, Etai Benson as Paul, Nikki Renee Daniels as Jenny, Claybourne Elder as Andy, Greg Hildreth as Peter, Kyle Dean Massey as Theo, Rashidra Scott as Susan, and Bobby Conte Thornton as P.J.

Company, directed by two-time Tony winner Marianne Elliott, begins preview performances on March 2 ahead of an official opening night on March 22, which happens to be Sondheim‘s 90th birthday!

Broadway's New 'Company' Stars Gather to Celebrate Casting News!

The Broadway revival of the musical Company is one of the most anticipated shows of the season and the newly announced stars gathered to celebrate the casting announcement!

Matt Doyle (Jamie), Etai Benson (Paul), Claybourne Elder (Andy), and Bobby Conte Thornton (P.J.) stepped up to the bar at the iconic Broadway watering hole, Joe Allen, on Monday night (October 21) in New York City.

The four actors will join a cast that also includes Tony winners Katrina Lenk and Patti LuPone.

Meet the full cast of the musical, which will hit Broadway in March 2020.

Broadway's 'Company' Revival Sets Star-Studded Cast to Join Katrina Lenk & Patti LuPone!

The Stephen Sondheim musical Company is returning to Broadway next year for a gender-bent revival and the full cast has been announced!

Tony winner Katrina Lenk will be playing Bobbie, a character that was previously referred to as Bobby and played by a man in past productions. Patti LuPone will be making a highly anticipated return to the New York stage as Joanne.

Joining the cast (and pictured below from left to right) are Matt Doyle as Jamie, Christopher Fitzgerald as David, Christopher Sieber as Harry, Jennifer Simard as Sarah, Terence Archie as Larry, Etai Benson as Paul, Nikki Renee Daniels as Jenny, Claybourne Elder as Andy, Greg Hildreth as Peter, Kyle Dean Massey as Theo, and Bobby Conte Thornton as P.J.

Director Marianne Elliott collaborated with Sondheim to update the musical and bring the story into the 21st century. In Company, musical theatre’s most iconic bachelor becomes a bachelorette. At Bobbie’s (Lenk) 35th birthday party, all her friends are wondering why isn’t she married? Why can’t she find the right man? And, why can’t she settle down and have a family?

The musical will begin performances on March 2, 2020 ahead of an official opening night on March 22, 2020, which happens to be Sondheim‘s 90th birthday.

Beth Behrs Celebrates 'A Funny Thing...' Opening Night!

Beth Behrs is the lady in white while attending the opening night after party for her new play A Funny Thing… held at SushiSamba 7 on Tuesday (June 7) in New York City.

The 30-year-old actress was joined at the event by her co-stars Lisa Emery, Jacqueline Sydney, and Erik Lochtefeld, director Trip Cullman, and playwright Halley Feiffer, as well as Zosia Mamet, Matt Doyle and Beth‘s boyfriend Michael Gladis, who all came out to show their support.

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Gynecologic Oncology Unit at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center will be playing at the MCC Theater through July 3 – Buy your tickets here!

Tituss Burgess Launches His Very Own Pinot Noir!

Tituss Burgess is all smiles while attending the official launch party for PINOT by Tituss Burgess held at The Box on Tuesday evening (April 5) in New York City.

The 37-year-old Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt actor was joined at the event by Megan Hilty and her husband Brian Gallagher, Frankie J. Grande, Orange Is The New Black‘s Selenis Leyva and Emma Myles, Paul Iacono, Matt Doyle, Martha Plimpton, and Jonathan and Drew Scott.

“The thought of making wine never crossed my mind until this TV show,” Tituss told Wine Spectator. “I didn’t realize how much I would enjoy this process.”

The second season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt will premiere on Netflix on April 15!

Broadway Stars Christopher J. Hanke & Matt Doyle Strip to Their 'Skivvies' in Concert!

Christopher J. Hanke and Matt Doyle strip down their underwear while performing as special guests at The Skivvies concert on Saturday (August 1) at Joe’s Pub in New York City.

The two Broadway actors joined Skivvies members Lauren Molina and Nick Cearley, who perform stripped down versions of classic songs… while also stripped down physically!

Matt, 28, performed a boy bands medley with the group while Christopher, 39, performed a medley inspired by the Barbra Streisand-themed play Buyer and Cellar. Watch the performances below.
