Ross and Matt Duffer are revealing more and more details about what could have been on the newest season of Stranger Things – including how Max’s storyline changed from what was originally written.

Ross and Matt Duffer are setting the record straight about a Stranger Things spinoff.
Fans already probably know that the two brothers are currently developing a new series based on the hit Netflix show, with rumors circulating in September 2021 that the show would likely focus on Millie Bobby Brown‘s character Eleven.
But during a recently episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Matt and Ross said that it was unlikely the spinoff would be centered on any of the main characters from the current iteration of the show.

The cast of Stranger Things gather up for a group photo on the red carpet for the special screening event held at Netflix FYSee Space on Friday (May 27) in Beverly Hills, Calif.
Maya Hawke, Sadie Sink, Noah Schnapp, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Priah Ferguson, and Brett Gelman joined co-creators Ross and Matt Duffer for the event, which was held on the premiere day of season four of the series.
In a recent interview, Noah opened up about almost begging the Duffer brothers to change his characters’ bowl-cut hair style for the future seasons.
“I’ve talked to them so many times like, ‘Hey, are we thinking about a new cut for Will?’” he shared with Insider. “There’s one more season left, but they’re pretty loyal to that cut.”
Noah added, “I think it is a true kind of ’80s classic haircut. So I don’t think we’re gonna lose it anytime soon.”
While the Duffer brothers seem pretty stuck on the hairstyle, Noah has asked his parents about it: “They lived in the ’80s. They said they weren’t 16 with that haircut, so I don’t know.”

The co-stars, ages 47 and 44, respectively, hit the black carpet at the event held on Friday (June 28) in Santa Monica, Calif.

Millie Bobby Brown has officially started production on season three of Netflix’s Stranger Things!
The 14-year-old actress was spotted arriving on location ahead of a busy day on Thursday (April 26) in Canton, Ga.

Millie, aka Eleven, was joined by her co-star Sadie Sink, who portrays Max Mayfield, as well as The Duffer Brothers, creators Matt and Ross Duffer.

The Duffer Brothers – Matt and Ross – have been accused of verbally abusing women on the set of Stranger Things and they’re responding the allegation.
Peyton Brown, a crew member on the first two seasons, posted to Instagram saying that she would not return for a third season because of the alleged abuse.
“I personally witnessed two men in high positions of power on that set seek out and verbally abuse multiple women,” she wrote in the deleted Instagram post. “I promised myself that if I were ever in a situation to say something that I would. I have 11.5 thousand followers who can hear me say this, TIME IS UP.”
Here is the Duffer Brothers‘ statement in response: “We are deeply upset to learn that someone felt uncomfortable on our set. Due to the high-stress nature of production, tempers occasionally get frayed, and for that, we apologize. However, we think it is important not to mischaracterize our set, where we believe strongly in treating everyone fairly regardless of gender, orientation, race, religion, or anything else. We remain totally committed to providing a safe and collaborative working environment for everyone on our productions.”
