Matt James is opening up about his season of The Bachelor and how he feels the show failed his story.

The 30-year-old reality star is promoting his new memoir “First Impressions” and he has explained why he doesn’t focus on the scandals surrounding his season.

“There will be another Bachelor, and there will probably be another Black Bachelor, and there will be another tell-all book,” Matt told the Los Angeles Times. “I wasn’t interested in that. If that’s what interests fans, and that outweighs the personal things I want to share, then my book isn’t for them.”

Matt made history as the first Black bachelor in the show’s history and his season ended in scandal when his winner Rachael Kirkconnell received backlash for resurfaced photos from an antebellum-themed party. They temporarily split after the season, but have since got back together and are still going strong.

Matt James is all smiles alongside girlfriend Rachael Kirkconnell while attending the 2022 Academy of Country Music Awards on Monday (March 7) at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nev.

The 30-year-old former The Bachelor star rocked double denim for the red carpet appearance, which reminds us of Justin Timberlake‘s infamous look from the American Music Awards.

The latest season of The Bachelor, featuring Clayton Echard as the leading man, will be ending next week. Tonight’s episode will feature the fantasy suites.

Matt was one of the many celebs who played in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game a few weeks ago.

The ACM Awards will stream live tonight 8 p.m. ET on Amazon Prime Video, with pre-show coverage beginning at 7 p.m. ET.

Machine Gun Kelly and Quavo team up for the Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game during the 2022 NBA All-Star Weekend on Friday (February 18) at Wolstein Center in Cleveland, Ohio.

The two musicians both played for Team Walton during the event, facing off against Team Nique players Kane Brown and Jack Harlow.

Other stars at the event included The Bachelor‘s Matt James, WNBA superstar Lisa Leslie and Peloton trainer Alex Toussaint.

Tiffany Haddish was also spotted at the game, marking the first major public appearance she’s made since being arrested for a DUI last month in Georgia.

Matt James and Brian Austin Green might have gotten eliminated from tonight’s Dancing With The Stars, but they still delivered great performances before their exit.

Brian with pro partner, and real life girlfriend Sharna Burgess, earned 27 points for their Pirates of the Caribbean inspired Paso doble.

Meanwhile, Matt and Lindsay Arnold, also performed a Paso doble inspired by The Jungle Book. They earned 31 points for their performance.

Matt James got into character for his latest performance on Dancing With the Stars!

The 29-year-old The Bachelor star dressed up as Frozone from The Incredibles for his performance on Monday night (October 11) in Los Angeles.

Matt and his partner Lindsay Arnold did a Quickstep and earned 26 out of 40 possible points for the routine.

During the intro, Matt revealed that he is constantly told by people that he looks just like Frozone, so this was his chance to actually dress up like the character!

Matt James keeps on improving during his time on Dancing With the Stars!

The 29-year-old former The Bachelor star earned his best scores yet during his latest dance on the ABC reality competition series on Monday night (October 4) in Los Angeles.

Matt and his partner Lindsay Arnold performed a Tango to the song “Scream & Shout” during Britney Night. All of the contestants performed to the music of Britney Spears.

Matt earned 20 out of 30 points for his performance, marking the first time he earned 7′s from the judges.
