Matthew Hussey is opening up about finding love after a breakup.

The 32-year-old author and motivational speaker, who recently split from girlfriend Camila Cabello, says that dating apps may not be the way to go.

Mathew explained that apps can make men seem “flaky.”

“We’ve reached a new level where people feel so disposable. We know we can keep swiping. We know we can increase our radius on our apps so there are always new dates,” Mathew told The New York Times.

He added that because of this, his clients often fear rejection and “being ghosted.”

“Because so many men act like this — they don’t go on dates and are flaky — someone comes along that they have a connection with, they massively overvalue that connection. They think they have to hold on to it and chase it…I deal with women every day who are literally chasing men who aren’t taking them seriously or investing in them,” Mathew explained.

Matthew and Camila split earlier this summer after over 18 months together.

After it was reported that the 22-year-old singer and boyfriend Matthew Hussey had split, fans started sending mean and hurtful things to the 32-year-old relationship coach – and Camila wants that to end.

“To my fans, if you really love me, please do not send people I love and care about hateful things. You doing that really hurts me, and it’s so unnecessary and heavy and damaging to add more pain to pain,” Camila wrote on her Instagram Story on Wednesday (June 26). “There’s a real person behind your tweets. You spamming them with hateful, insensitive things is really not funny, is causing all of us pain, and doesn’t all reflect the values I talk about.”

The day before, it was reported that Camila and Matt had split after dating for almost two years.

“Please be kind and compassionate and sensitive and respectful. I know you love me, but anyone that’s doing that is really not even respecting the sacred things in my life,” Camila continued. “The people I love and care about is one of them. I would really appreciate it if you would delete any mean comments you’ve sent, and please be kind by leaving it alone.”

It might be over for Camila Cabello and her longtime boyfriend, Matthew Hussey.

It’s being reported that the two have split after 18 months together.

“Camila’s relationship with Matthew had run its course and they decided to break up about a fortnight ago,” a source shared with The Sun. “It was a mutual decision to end things. But they have spent a lot of time together over the last year and a half and want to stay friends despite going their own way.”

The rumored breakup comes just after Camila dropped the sultry music video for “Senorita” with close friend, Shawn Mendes.

“This is of course going to fuel rumours that she and Shawn have become more than just pals though,” the source added.

Camila and Matthew were last pictured together in May.

The 21-year-old singer was in town for the 2019 Grammys. She opened the show with a performance of her number one hit song “Havana” and she was also nominated for two awards – Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Solo Performance.

Camila made the Grammys a night to give back as she wore a dress by Armani and the brand made a donation in her name to support Save the Children.

Camila stopped to sign an autograph for a fan before the couple got on the elevator to their car.

Camila stayed warm in a grey sweater with blue jeans and a black jacket.

“Mama’s always giving it away……. (PS WRITING THIS ALBUM IS THE BEST TIME OF MY LIFE AND I HAVE SO MANY STORIES TO TELL AND MEMORIES TO CAPTURE AND THINGS I WANT TO SAY AND I CANT WAIT TO SHOW YOU),” Camila captioned the Twitter video below the next day.

Camila and Matthew were first spotted on a date together in February 2018 and have since spent time together around the world!

On celebrity: “I know that it would be a lot more interesting for people if I posted more about my private life or was involved in the gossip or whatever…I just don’t like it. I just want to be a good artist. I don’t want to be a great celebrity. I’m not!”

On a video of her kissing 31-year-old boyfriend Matthew Hussey in front of cheering fans: “Those were my biggest, biggest, most hard-core fans and they know him anyway, because they know that we’re together. I thought it was really cute when they did that, and it’s like a trusted circle…they’re chanting my mom’s and my manager’s and my dad’s and my sister’s name, so they know a lot, so I thought it was really cute when they said that, and I was just like, ‘Let’s give them a kiss.’”

On taking a break: “The five years that I was in the group, I don’t feel like that counts. I really have just been a solo artist for a year, so I can’t take an extended break…I don’t feel like I should do that, you know? I think that there will be a time where I want to take a few months to go live in Spain or in Italy and just pig out and just not have any discipline or any responsibility. But I feel like I haven’t really earned that yet. I don’t feel like I’ve earned an extended break.”
