Dylan O’Brien came out swinging as his new movie The Maze Runner topped this weekend’s box office with a whopping $32.5 million!
According to THR, the film adaptation of James Dashner‘s book did so well that the sequel, Maze Runner: Scorch Trials, already scored a release date of Sept. 18, 2015!
Coming in at No. 2 was Liam Neeson‘s A Walk Among the Tombstones, which fell below expectations with a $13.1 million gross.
Taking the third spot was the star-studded adult dramedy This Is Where I Leave You, boasting a cast of Jason Bateman, Tina Fey, Adam Driver, Rose Byrne, and Jane Fonda, which had an $11.9 million debut.
Rounding out the top five were the Idris Elba thriller No Good Deed and family flick Dolphin Tale 2, which earned $10.2 million and $9 million, respectively.
