The new Mean Girls musical movie is now in theaters and fans will be treated to some fun cameos throughout the film!

While some of the cameos aren’t actually a surprise, there’s one huge surprise waiting for fans near the end of the movie. You can expect some applause from the crowd, assuming they are Mean Girls fans.

Tina Fey and Tim Meadows reprise their roles in the new movie alongside new stars Angourie Rice as Cady Heron and Renee Rapp as Regina George.

The new Mean Girls is here!

Putting a modern spin on the 2004 original movie and the 2018 Broadway musical, the third adaptation combines both in a new movie musical event from writer and producer Tina Fey, who has penned all three versions.

Here’s the synopsis: New student Cady Heron is welcomed into the top of the social food chain by the elite group of popular girls called “The Plastics,” ruled by the conniving queen bee Regina George and her minions Gretchen and Karen. However, when Cady makes the major misstep of falling for Regina’s ex-boyfriend Aaron Samuels, she finds herself prey in Regina’s crosshairs. As Cady sets to take down the group’s apex predator with the help of her outcast friends Janis and Damian, she must learn how to stay true to herself while navigating the most cutthroat jungle of all: high school.

Mean Girls, the movie musical, was originally set for Paramount+, but was moved to a theatrical release instead.

With an almost entirely new cast, we’re introducing viewers the young stars who are taking on those iconic roles!

The actresses playing Karen in both of the Mean Girls movies have officially met!

Amanda Seyfried and Avantika were both in attendance at the InStyle and Lancome event on Wednesday (January 10) at the Park Lane Hotel in New York City.

Amanda and fellow brand ambassador Isabella Rossellini helped welcome new global ambassador Joy Sunday to the family!

After the event, Amanda took to Instagram to share fun photos of her meeting Avantika, who plays Karen in the new Mean Girls movie musical.

Christopher Briney had so much to say about bringing Aaron Samuels to life in the new Mean Girls musical movie during an interview with InStyle.

The 25-year-old The Summer I Turned Pretty actor took over the role originated by Jonathan Bennett in the 2004 hit movie. However, he initially passed on the opportunity.

He explained why and what inspired him to change his mind. Christopher also broke down how he prepared for the role and how he was feeling going into the release.

Of course, he also waded into the Hollywood Chris conversation and revealed his favorite actor with the same name. Spoiler alert: He did not name himself!
