Katy Perry glams up while walking the red carpet at the 2013 Delete Blood Cancer Gala on Wednesday (May 1) at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.

The 28-year-old singer took in a performance of the new Broadway musical Kinky Boots earlier in the day with her gal pal Mia Moretti.

“Just saw KINKY BOOTS on broadway & cried w/joy from it’s powerful, beautiful message. Congrats on every of its deserved 13 Tony nominations!” Katy tweeted. “AND if Billy Porter doesn’t win the Tony for best actor in a musical… There will be words… Trust.”

The 28-year-old entertainer was seen posing with The Great Gatsby actress Isla Fisher, Mia Moretti, and Florence Welch, who has a song on the film’s soundtrack with her band Florence + The Machine.

Katy Perry and her boyfriend John Mayer dress up in fun costumes for her birthday bash held at The Magic Castle on Friday (October 19) in Los Angeles.

The 27-year-old singer celebrated her upcoming 28th birthday by dressing up as a vampire, while John, who turned 35 earlier in the week, wore a prosthetic nose and chin for his zombie hunter costume.
