Michelle Rodriguez checks out of her hotel the day after the first weekend of the 2012 Coachella Music Festival on Monday (April 16) in Palm Springs, Calif.

The 33-year old actress was overheard telling friends she was lucky to get in because she came late on Sunday when will call was closed.

Michelle is currently working on her new animated film Turbo, which co-stars Ryan Reynolds, Maya Rudolph, Paul Giamatti, and Samuel L. Jackson.

The movie is about a garden snail, with dreams of becoming the fastest snail in the world, who experiences a freak accident that might just allow him to realize his goal.

Turbo hits theaters July 19, 2013!

Michelle Rodriguez and Bridget Moynahan premiere Columbia Pictures’ Battle: Los Angeles at the Village Theater on Tuesday (March 8) in Los Angeles.

“When us chicks don’t remove our clothes and we don’t play the girlfriend, there are not a lot of roles out there,” Michelle told the Daily News, “so I got to play it safe and take the roles I can.”

“For two weeks it was like full throttle. That’s where I got the abs for Machete actually — those hundred situps, the 50 pushups and the 2-mile run every morning,” the 32-year-old actress said. “But the shooting. That stuff I love, I could do that with my hands tied behind my back.”

Michelle Rodriguez wears a strapless sheer gown while heading into supperclub los angeles for an Oscar after-party on Sunday (February 27) in L.A.

The 32-year-old former Lost actress was later seen partying at James Franco‘s new bar The Writer’s Room.

Michelle can next be seen in the action thriller Battle: Los Angeles, where she plays an Air Force tech sergeant trying to save the city from an alien invasion.

“I just believe that an alien creature, if it did exist, would have to resonate at a higher frequency [and would] therefore not have that human psychological need to destroy and dominate so much,” Michelle told CNN about her own ET theory.

“I would think that they would be just smarter than us and a little bit more slick and full of love and light. We’re kind of at the bottom of the food chain as far as evolution goes. If there were aliens, I think they would be a little bit slicker than us,” she added.

(RED) is introducing The Lazarus Effect Campaign, intended to increase awareness for its efforts to fight AIDS in Africa.

The campaign, directed by renowned photographer Brigitte Lacombe, has celebrities rattle off items that could be bought for 40 cents (the value of one day’s worth of life transforming antiretroviral medication).
