'Mike & Molly' Officially Cancelled By CBS

CBS has officially confirmed that Mike & Molly has been cancelled.

Mike and Molly, listen, these decisions are really challenging and I have a tremendous amount of respect for Chuck [Lorre], Al Higgins, Melissa, Billy �” the whole cast and crew,” CBS president Glenn Geller said at the TCA today. “But I can conform that this will be the last season of Mike and Molly.”

Melissa McCarthy Reacts to 'Mike & Molly' Cancellation

Melissa McCarthy has written a tweet to share her thoughts on the cancellation of her CBS comedy series Mike & Molly.

The news of the show’s cancellation spread over the weekend when cast member Rondi Reed wrote a lengthy Facebook post detailing how upset she was over the series ending.

“I was shocked and heartbroken when @CBS canceled #MikeAndMolly. I would have shot this show for 50 more years. I’ll miss my 2nd family,” Melissa tweeted. She received an Emmy Award back in 2011 for her work on the first season of the show.

Mike & Molly returns for its sixth and final season on January 6 with its last thirteen episodes.

CBS Renews 'Mike & Molly' & 'Mom' For Next Season!

CBS just gave early pickups to their two Chuck Lorre comedies Mom and Mike & Molly!

Both shows are expected to be on the 2015-16 season schedule. We are so excited!

Mom will be in its third season next year, while Mike & Molly will be in its sixth. Mom stars Anna Faris and Allison Janney. Mike & Molly features Melissa McCarthy and Billy Gardell.
