'The Gong Show' 2017 Host - Mike Myers is Tommy Maitland?!

If you’re watching The Gong Show reboot tonight on ABC and wondering who the host is, chances are you won’t know by looking at him!

Rumor has it that Mike Myers is actually the host of the show and he’s playing a character he created named Tommy Maitland.

The executive producer of the show explained why they didn’t try and copy the show’s original host Chuck Barris.

“We thought the worst thing we could do in the world is try and copy Chuck, because Chuck and the world he created was so singular and memorable and brilliant that to try and do an exact copy of things would almost certainly blow up in our faces,” Conrad Green told EW.

Mike Myers Says He Would 'Love' to Make More Austin Powers Films!

Mike Myers may be getting ready to play Austin Powers again!

The 53-year-old actor recently opened up about how his father influenced his famous British spy character.

After my dad died in 1991, I was taking stock of his influence on me as a person and his influence on me with comedy in general,” Mike told THR. “So Austin Powers was a tribute to my father.”

Austin Powers debuted on May 2, 1997, the sequel, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, hit theaters in 1999, and was followed by 2002′s Austin Powers: Gold Member, co-starring Beyonce.

Mike then went on to he’s willing to suit up one more time to play Austin.

“I would love to do another, but you just have to see,” Mike said. “I was devastated by my father’s death. But to have that turn into something that makes people happy is unbelievably satisfying. It’s that kind of stuff you never get used to or get tired of.”

Dana Carvey Explains How He Helped Create Mike Myers' Dr. Evil

Dana Carvey has a long history with fellow comedian Mike Myers and now he’s explaining how one of his impressions was transformed into Dr. Evil in Austin Powers.

The guys worked together on Saturday Night Live back in the day and Dana created an impression of the show’s creator Lorne Michaels, which involved his “pinky coming out” of his mouth.

Dana opened up to Howard Stern about how Mike used his impression for Dr. Evil’s signature pose.

“Well yeah, I did do [the impression of Michaels first],” Dana said (via ET Canada). “When I first got on SNL, no one I knew was doing it. I first saw him on Wednesday night picking the show, and it would get kinda tense putting the cards on the board, and my first hook into Lorne was him saying, ‘Um, I still have no f–king first act.’ Now he would bite his nails and I just did this [putting his pinky finger in his mouth], and when I saw Mike do it and I did kind of go, ahh, look… it’s a really funny affectation, because it’s so specific.”
