Milo Ventimiglia On 'This Is Us' Fans Reaction To Jack's Death Reveal: 'They Want A Hug'

Milo Ventimiglia stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday (February 12) and talked all about the fan reaction to his beloved This Is Us character Jack Pearson’s death finally being revealed on the special Super Bowl episode.

“A lot of people, they still… they want a hug,” the 40-year-old actor told Jimmy. “They don’t really ask me for advice, but they want that paternal knowing that things are okay. A lot of people walk up to me and they’ll wanna share their story.”

Milo said stories range from a restaurant manager binging the show while on maternity leave to people straight-up joyously screaming and clapping at him (and not knowing his real name). “I love you, Jack, Jack, Jack!” Milo recalled a fan saying.

“This happens all the time, it’s crazy,” Milo laughed. “I can’t escape it, man.”

'This Is Us' Cast Reveal Their Secret Beyonce-Inspired Password for Super Bowl Episode

The cast of This Is Us are here to give you a huge hug!

Milo Ventimiglia, Justin Hartley, Chrissy Metz, Sterling K. Brown and Mandy Moore appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon following Sunday’s (February 4) special 2018 Super Bowl episode, which finally reveals how Milo‘s character Jack Pearson died on the hit NBC series.

“It was very secretive. We had scripts that were on red paper because they can’t be photocopied,” Milo told Jimmy. “We had a password when we were talking about the actual event.”

“Marble,” Milo revealed. “We think because it was because of Beyonce, y’all,” Chrissy added.

“We heard that Lemonade was supposed to be called Marble, or our writers did, and so they decided that this episode or this experience was going to be called The Marble,” Mandy said, prompting Justin, who apparently had never heard of that story until then.
