Milo Ventimiglia's Tearful 'This Is Us' Reveal Will Have You Crying Too!

Milo Ventimiglia was just one of the stars in attendance at the This Is Us The Paley Center For Media’s 2017 PaleyFest panel over the weekend in Los Angeles.

One fan asked him where his inspiration came from for playing Jack Pearson on NBC’s new drama.

“Here we go, you’re going to find me crying…My father,” Milo said. “[This Is Us writer] Dan Fogelman and all the producers and writers wrote this man who loves his wife and loves his kids, really as simple as that. And I saw that in my own father.”

“There’s not a moment in my life where I don’t think about how he raised us, my sisters [Laurel and Leslie] and I…So, my dad.”

Milo‘s parents, Peter and Carol, were actually in the crowd during the reveal!

ET writer Desiree Murphy caught the moment on video and published it to Twitter – watch below.

'This Is Us' Cast Reveals Possible Season Two Story Arcs

We may be a while away from the second season of This Is Us, but perhaps this new scoop can hold us over for a bit.

The cast stepped out at a panel for The Paley Center For Media’s 2017 PaleyFest Los Angeles held at the Dolby Theatre on Saturday (March 18) in Hollywood.

Stars Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley, Susan Kelechi Watson, Chris Sullivan, and Ron Cephas Jones opened up about the finale and some possible season two story arcs.

Sterling, in particular, talked about Randall’s sudden desire to adopt a child, saying (via Deadline), “It’s clearly the beginning of a conversation between a husband and wife. It’s something that’s on his heart, when he reflects on the loss of William… and the gift he had being raised as a Pearson. He wants to bring it full-circle.”

Milo Ventimiglia Talks Unanswered Finale Questions About Jack

Milo Ventimiglia is opening up about the lingering questions about the This Is Us season finale.

SPOILER ALERT! Fans didn’t find out how his character Jack dies, despite it being teased a lot.

“I may have just shot myself in the foot teasing it out, and the audience not getting the answer that they were looking for,” Milo told People. “I’ll have to hold strong with that answer until Dan [Fogelman, the creator] wants to tell that story. But I’ve been saying, and I feel very strongly about this lately: Everybody’s concerned with the death, how it happened, when it happened. I think people should be more concerned with his life. How did this man live his life? How did he embrace his family, even in disrepair? How did he fight for his family when it looked like things were broken and going away? ‘How did this man live his life?’ is more important than when he died, in my mind.”

Milo also said about the finale, “The first thing that comes to mind is that I imagine that people are dying to know more. We’ve only given them a sip of water when there’s an entire ocean to know about this family. Here comes some fan fiction!”

Mandy Moore & Milo Ventimiglia Dish on 'This Is Us' Fight Scene

There was a big fight during the season finale of This Is Us between Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia‘s characters and now they are dishing on what went into the filming.

Before reading any further into this post, beware of spoilers from the finale!

“We definitely spent a good amount of time talking about the scene, and then a little rehearsing of the scene,” Milo told THR. “But when it came time to film the scene we both knew it wasn’t going to be the same day of work that we’d had in the past. It was a completely different day of work. I picked my chair up out of the room that Mandy and I usually share and I walked out. When the cameras were up on shoulders and action was called we both came out swinging. I had to remove myself and go walk around the house to take in the memories of what Jack knows his home to be so that when it all came crashing down I could remember it all.”

“It was kind of torture. I love Milo and it’s not fun not sitting next to each other and asking each other questions. Our rapport is so easy and familiar and comfortable, so to have to keep ourselves apart from each another throughout this entire episode, the tension was palpable,” Mandy added. “Dan Fogelman was really adamant about shooting the entire scene in one take, which we did. It was really draining, and taxing and not particularly fun. It was like climbing a mountain but once that was off our plate the rest of the episode felt like smooth sailing.”

Milo Ventimiglia Wants 'This Is Us' Fans To Not Focus On Jack's Death - Watch Here!

There is only one more episode left to air for the first season of NBC’s hit series This Is Us, and now, Milo Ventimiglia is opening up about whether we will learn more details about his character Jack’s death.

“I mean, maybe, maybe not, maybe you will,” the 39-year-old actor revealed while making an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday (March 13) in Los Angeles.

“The one thing that you do know is that Jack is dead and everybody’s fascinated with knowing how and when and why,” Milo added. “The thing that I keep thinking about, or keep talking about to people is worry about how he’s living, why he’s living. Those are the moments. You don’t want to focus on a death, you wanna focus on his life and his kids.”

“You may, you may,” Milo teased to Jimmy. “I have no idea — actually, I do have an idea. Yeah, I totally know.”

Milo Ventimiglia Filmed 'This Is Us' Push-Up Scene with a Broken Wrist!

One of the most iconic scenes from the first season of This Is Us is definitely when Milo Ventimiglia‘s character Jack does push-ups with his young son Randall on his back as a way to show him he’ll always be there to lift him up.

But, did you know that Milo actually did this scene with a broken wrist?!

“That probably didn’t help, four months into the injury and they were like, ‘Hey Milo, we’ve a got a scene we are going to put your eight-year-old son who weighs about 75/80 pounds on your back and you’re going to do a bunch of push ups,’ and I’m like oh great,” he said during an appearance on Harry, airing on Tuesday (March 14).

Harry asked Milo if he was in a lot of pain and he replied, “Yeah, it probably didn’t help but one of those moments for Randall’s character, it was one of those moments where you take your loved ones on your back and you look out for them and care for them. So for me, I’m not worrying about pain of my wrist, I’m worrying about the uplifting of the soul in the moment.”
