Nick Jonas Joins Tom Holland & Daisy Ridley in 'Chaos Walking'

Nick Jonas, Tom Holland, and Daisy Ridley are all starring in a movie together!

The trio will join forces for Lionsgate’s post-apocalyptic thriller Chaos Walking, The Hollywood Reporter reports.

Doug Liman will direct the film, based on the best-selling YA novel by Patrick Ness.

The story is set “on a colony planet where almost all women have been killed by a virus and all living creatures are struck by ‘The Noise,’ a virus which inflicts immersive visions of ones’ every thought. The cacophony drives many mad until a young man (Tom) makes a silent discovery: There is a girl (Daisy) who may be the key to unlocking the New World’s many layered secrets.”

Nick will play Davy Prentiss Jr., “a young soldier in Mayor Prentiss’ army fueled by jealousy over his father’s (Mads Mikkelson) mentorship of long-time rival Todd Hewitt (Tom).”

Demian Bichir and Kurt Sutter also star.

Chaos Walking is set to hit theaters on March 1, 2019!

Riz Ahmed May Join Tom Hardy in 'Spider-Man' Spin-Off 'Venom'

Riz Ahmed is in talks to play a popular Marvel Comics character in Sony’s upcoming movie Venom!

It is not yet known which character the 34-year-old Rogue One: A Star Wars Story actor would play, though he would not portray Venom or the villain Carnage, THR reports.

Ruben Fleischer is directing the film, and Tom Hardy will play the title character.

Sony has stated that Venom will not have a role in the Spider-Man universe but will rather stand on its own.

The character Venom (aka Eddie Brock) was introduced in 1988 and made his first big-screen appearance in Spider-Man 3, played by Topher Grace.

Venom is set to hit theaters on October 5, 2018!

Melissa McCarthy to Show Off Dramatic Chops in Cop Movie

Melissa McCarthy is going to show off a different side of her acting chops in an upcoming dramatic Untitled Female Boston Cop project!

The Oscar-nominated actress, who is best known for starring in comedies, will play one of the first women to join the Boston police department back in the 1970s.

The movie will be based on a book proposal by Alexandra Lydon and Melissa will produce it with husband Ben Falcone.

The film “tells the true story of the first female police in one of Boston’s most turbulent decades. Taking place in the 1970s, the book chronicles the transition of black and white women into the notorious old boys’ club of the Boston Police Department, as they find themselves on the front lines of a racially divided city and became unwitting participants in a social revolution,” according to Deadline.

Josh Duhamel has set the cast for his directorial debut, The Buddy Games.

Kevin Dillon, Dax Shepard, Olivia Munn, James Roday, and Dan Bakkedahl will all be starring in the new movie! They join already announced stars Nick Swardson and WWE ring star Sheamus. Josh is also set to star in the film.

According to Deadline, the film circles around “a group of thirtysomething friends who reunite to play the Buddy Game — a wild assortment of absurd physical and mental challenges. In the process, they heal old wounds, right past wrongs and figure out the true meaning of friendship — or die trying.”

Cate Blanchett‘s Lucille Ball biopic has landed at Amazon!

The project is an authorized biopic and will be produced by Lucille and Desi Arnaz‘s kids. The movie will focus on the legendary comedic star, who starred in I Love Lucy, The Lucy–Desi Comedy Hour, The Lucy Show, Here’s Lucy and Life with Lucy. Aaron Sorkin will write the script.

Lucy earned four Emmys over the course of her career, and was married to Desi from 1940 to 1960.

Deadline is reporting that the search is on to find a big named star to play Desi – with Javier Bardem‘s name in the mix! Producers are also searching for the perfect Fred and Ethel, the beloved characters from I Love Lucy.

Richard Madden is heading to Netflix!

The 31-year-old Game of Thrones and Cinderella has joined the cast of the upcoming comedy film Ibiza, THR reports.

Richard will be joining Vanessa Bayer, Gillian Jacobs, and Phoebe Robinson in the upcoming movie.

Ibiza follows the story of a woman (Gillian) who “goes on a business trip to Spain to close a big deal but instead finds herself on a wild ride of partying and clubbing, where she falls in love with a world famous DJ and realizes there is more to life than showing up to a job she hates,” according to THR.

Taylor Swift's Brother Austin Lands a New Movie Role!

Austin Swift, the younger brother of music superstar Taylor Swift, has landed a new movie role!

The 25-year-old actor will star alongside Pretty Little LiarsTammin Sursok in the upcoming road-trip comedy Whaling.

The movie tells the story of “an estranged brother-sister pair who reunite after their mother’s death to dispose of her ashes in an unusual way,” according to TheWrap.

Austin will play “a small-town hustler who has a run-in with the siblings that dramatically impacts the characters’ path.”

Some of Austin‘s past credits include Ben Affleck‘s Live By Night and Pierce Brosnan‘s I.T.
