Afterward, the 31-year-old former Grey’s Anatomy actress lunched with her momager Nancy and musician husband Josh Kelley.

Josh Kelley carries his adorable daughter Naleigh inside to the doctor’s office on Wednesday (March 31) in Los Feliz, Calif.
While mama Katherine Heigl wasn’t there for Naleigh‘s checkup, looks like Josh had everything under control!
“Naleigh and I will always be a little bit complicated,” Kat told EW. “I really had to work on bonding with her because I was obsessed with her, but she could really do without me,” she laughed. “She loved Josh so much but she just kind of tolerated me.”

The 31-year-old actress brought 16-month-old Naleigh with her for a family meal!
Katherine, who covers this week’s issue of EW, shared that the reason she left was to spend more time with Naleigh and her family!
“I think it was a little bit shocking for everybody, and a little bit like, ‘Can’t we find a way to work it out?’” Kat said. “And I really wanted to, but at the same time I just felt like I couldn’t sacrifice my relationship with my child.”

Earlier this fall, Kat and hubby Josh Kelley adopted Naleigh, who turns one today!
Mama Kat will be celebrating her 31st birthday tomorrow! She told Ellen DeGeneres recently, “[Naleigh] was actually born the day before me in November, which I thought was really serendipitous and just kind of like a sign.”

The trio was accompanied by Katie‘s mom Nancy.
Katie‘s recent decision to adopt has made her former Grey’s Anatomy co-star think about adopting. T.R. Knight told Ellen DeGeneres last week that that he’s ready for kids. “I want a baby,” he admitted on her talk show, adding that Katie reinforced his desire to start a family.

Mom Nancy is Katie‘s personal manager. Dad Paul is a financial executive/accountant.
