Jay Leno helps Meyers Manx celebrate the reveal of their new electric vehicle Manx 2.0 Electric at the Little Beach House on Monday, August 8, in Malibu, Calif.

The iconic talk show host was accompanied by his wife Mavis as well as Saturday Night Live alum Nasim Pedrad.

“The Meyers Manx has always been a symbol of joy, simplicity and purity. It’s the solution to the complexity of life,” noted venture capitalist Phillip Sarofim, who acquired the brand from Bruce and Winnie Meyers in 2020 through his firm Trousdale Ventures. “Continuing the legacy of the Meyers Manx connects us with the optimism of the 1960s California culture, an optimism we all can share.”

Meyers Manx is partnering with a U.S.-based manufacturing entity to bring the Manx 2.0 Electric into production in 2023, with final assembly taking place in California. The Meyers Manx Beta program will deliver the first 50
cars to select customers in 2024.

Also in attendance was Phillip’s girlfriend Christy Cham and her mother Manuela Herzer.

Nasim Pedrad‘s TV show Chad will no longer be moving forward at TBS, despite its second season already being completed.

The show was created by the SNL alum, and she also stars in the title role of Chad Amani.

Melanie Lynskey shows off her award in a cute pic with Rose McIver during the 2022 Gracie Awards held at Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel on Tuesday night (May 24) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The two actresses, who are both from New Zealand, stepped out for the event alongside a handful of other stars including Chad‘s Nasim Pedrad, Ava DuVernay, Brie and Nikki Bella, Tia Carrere, Shannon Thornton, Mimi Rogers, Tamron Hall, Medalion Rahimi, pregnant Christina Perri, and Hallmark stars Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Holly Robinson Peete, Bethany Joy Lenz, and Maggie Lawson.

Hosted by Holly, the awards recognized exemplary programming created by women, for women and about women in all facets of media and entertainment.

Tamron was honored with the Best On-Air Talent award; Ava with the Best Family Series for Home Sweet Home; and Nasim for Best Actress in a Breakthrough Role in Comedy.

Meanwhile, Melanie received the Best Actress in Leading Role Drama honor for Yellowjackets.

“It’s amazing to be 45 years old in a size 12…and be playing the sexiest, most interesting, most fun role of my entire career,” she said during her speech. “I never thought it was going to get better, but it did.”

Jurnee Smollett strikes a fierce pose on the red carpet as she arrives at the 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards on Sunday night (May 16) at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles.

The 34-year-old Lovecraft Country actress looked super cool in a silk, teal jumpsuit as she stepped out for the awards show.

Nasim Pedrad and Lamorne Morris are starring in the new Netflix movie Desperados and this isn’t the first time that they have worked together!

The two actors actually played a couple on the Fox series New Girl and their characters ended up together in the end. The new movie marks a reunion for the stars, so this is a must-watch for fans of the show.

In Desperados, a panicked young woman (Pedrad) and her two best friends (Anna Camp and Sarah Burns) fly to Mexico to delete a ranting email she sent to her new boyfriend (Robbie Amell). On arrival, they run into her former beau (Morris), who soon gets caught up in their frantic scheme.

“When I found out that Lamorne might be able to do it, it was such a no-brainer. There is truly no one better to work with. I have so much fun with him and I would do anything with him,” Nasim said in an interview with Manny the Movie Guy.

The movie is now streaming on Netflix!
