Melania Trump Demands 'People' Retract Natasha Stoynoff Story

Melania Trump has threatened legal action against People if the magazine fails to retract statements from Natasha Stoynoff‘s story, which she says are false.

The former People writer has claimed that Donald Trump sexually assaulted her while interviewing him back in 2005 at the Republican presidential candidate’s home.

Natasha was assigned to the Trump “beat” at People during her time at the magazine and interviewed the couple on many occasions. She says that after the alleged assault happened, she ran into Melania on the street in New York City and that the former model asked why she doesn’t see her anymore.

Melania‘s lawyer sent a “demand for retraction and apology” to People and she tweeted out the letter.

“The true facts are these: Mrs. Trump did not encounter Ms. Stoynoff on the street, nor have any conversation with her. The two are not friends and were never friends or even friendly. At the time in question, Mrs. Trump would not have even recognized Ms. Stoynoff if they had encountered one another on the street,” the letter read.

'People' Editor-in-Chief Jess Cagle Defends Writer Natasha Stoynoff for Sharing Donald Trump Sexual Assault Story

This week, People magazine writer Natasha Stoynoff opened up about being sexually assaulted by Donald Trump, and now, editor-in-chief of the mag Jess Cagle is backing her story and commending her for speaking out.

In a rally today, Trump said, “These vicious claims of inappropriate conduct about me with women are totally and absolutely false.”

Jess responded in a statement (via People), “We are grateful to Natasha Stoynoff for telling her story. Ms. Stoynoff is a remarkable, ethical, honest and patriotic woman, and she has shared her story of being physically attacked by Donald Trump in 2005 because she felt it was her duty to make the public aware. To assign any other motive is a disgusting, pathetic attempt to victimize her again. We stand steadfastly by her, and are proud to publish her clear, credible account of what happened. It is heartbreaking that her fear of retaliation by Trump kept her from reporting the incident when it happened. She has carried this secret for more than a decade, and we hope that by coming forward now she is relieved of that burden.”

Donald Trump Slams Media, Claims Sexual Assault Allegations Are 'Fabricated'

Donald Trump spoke at a rally in West Palm Beach, Florida on Thursday (October 13).

“These claims are all fabricated. They’re pure fiction and outright lies. These events never ever happened,” Trump said about the recent sexual assault allegations.

“Let’s be clear on one thing,” he added. “The corporate media in our country is no longer involved in journalism, they’re a political special interest no different than any lobbyist or financial entity with a total political agenda and the agenda is not for you, it’s for themselves. And their agenda is to elect Crooked Hillary Clinton at any cost, at any price, no matter how many lives they destroy.”

“The Clintons are criminals, remember that,” he added.

'People' Writer & Two Other Women Accuse Donald Trump of Sexual Assault

Three women have come out with stories of sexual assault by Presidential candidate Donald Trump.

People magazine writer Natasha Stoynoff opens up about her harrowing experience in a new article for the site.

She had been working the Trump beat back in 2005 and interviewing him in Mar-a-Largo for his one-year anniversary with Melania.

“We walked into that room alone, and Trump shut the door behind us,” Natasha wrote. “I turned around, and within seconds, he was pushing me against the wall, and forcing his tongue down my throat.”

She continued, “But, like many women, I was ashamed and blamed myself for his transgression. I minimized it (“It’s not like he raped me…”); I doubted my recollection and my reaction. I was afraid that a famous, powerful, wealthy man could and would discredit and destroy me, especially if I got his coveted PEOPLE feature killed. I just want to forget it ever happened.”

Trump‘s camp told People about the story, “This never happened. There is no merit or veracity to this fictional story.”

Meanwhile, two other women – Jessica Leeds and Rachel Crooks – have also come forward, claiming Trump touched them inappropriately.

“He was like an octopus,” Jessica told the New York Times. “His hands were everywhere…It was an assault.”
