Just a few days before the release of his latest film Alien: Covenant (out May 19), Ridley Scott was honored with his very own Hand, Footprint Ceremony in the forecourt of the TCL Chinese Theatre on Wednesday (May 17) in Hollywood.

The 79-year-old film director and producer was accompanied by his wife, actress Giannina Facio, his Alien: Covenant stars – Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterson, Jussie Smollett, Carmen Ejogo, Danny McBride, Amy Seimetz and Nathaniel Dean – and Harrison Ford, who appeared in Ridley‘s classic Blade Runner, and will reprise his role in the upcoming sequel.

“I never, ever could have dreamed this (would be) happening right now, so this is beyond an honor. It’s a dream,” Ridley expressed at the event (via NBC). “It’s a rare honor to be alongside such greats. I’m still learning and still curious after 40 years in film, which honestly has felt like a blink in time for me. I don’t feel I’ve ever worked a day in my life. I think to me it’s one big holiday. I just adore it.”

Prometheus actor Michael Fassbender returns for the next installment of the franchise and joins a star-studded cast including Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demian Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Jussie Smollett, and more.

Here is the synopsis of the film: The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.

The new trailer for Alien: Covenant is filled with some intense moments, including the return of the facehugger egg and a shower scene that is bloody as can be.

It appears to be Callie Hernandez and Jussie Smollett in the shower together, and judging by the bloody mess, we’re guessing that things don’t turn out well for the Empire actor.

Alien: Covenant is the sequel to Prometheus and it also stars Katherine Waterston, Michael Fassbender, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demian Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England, and Benjamin Rigby.
