Naya Rivera's Dad George Calls Out Ryan Murphy For The 'Broken Promises' He Made After Her Death

Naya Rivera‘s dad George is not happy with Ryan Murphy.

Just days after Naya‘s tragic passing last July, the Glee creator spoke out about his intent to create a college fund for her son, Josey Dorsey.

However, according to George, it hasn’t happened.

Naya‘s father took to Twitter and claimed that Ryan has been full of “Broken Promises,” “fake outrage” and “hollow gestures.”

He also claimed that there had been no phone calls despite Ryan saying that he had spoken to her family following her death.

“Everyone needs to know what Ryan Murphy really did … or didn’t do !!! I’m about to blow up this story …. and make sure he’s knows that I know,” George wrote.

He added in a reply to a fan, saying that “When you are part of the Hollywood elite, some people treat others as they are ‘less than’ …. vocalize a good game, but it’s as shallow as the sets on stage , that they create.”

After George‘s tweets came, Ryan cleared the air on his own Twitter account and claimed that talks about a college fund for Josey are still in the works.

Christina Milian Is Replacing the Late Naya Rivera in Starz's 'Step Up'

Starz’s Step Up television series is continuing despite the tragic death of Naya Rivera, and Christina Milian has been tapped as her replacement on the show.

Naya‘s death was a terrible loss to our world that we will, frankly, never stop mourning,” Step Up series creator and executive producer Holly Sorensen said to THR. “It was almost impossible to consider there could be someone so graceful and loving who could both help us honor our loss, while also bringing a deep reservoir of talent to our show, in so many areas. Christina is an exceptional human and a dazzling performer and we are so happy she has joined our family.”

THR also noted that the studio “considered all their options when it came to ways with which the series could move forward.” They consulted Naya‘s family over this decision.

Demi Lovato Remembers Naya Rivera In A Sweet & Sentimental Way

Demi Lovato is remembering Naya Rivera in a sentimental Instagram post.

The 28-year-old singer starred with Naya in Fox’s Glee, as Dani, who was Santana’s love interest in the fifth season.

Demi snapped an image of the sunset during a hike over the weekend and wrote “Miss You @nayarivera” on the picture.

The music playing the clip was The Beatles‘ “Here Comes The Sun,” which is a reference to one of the most popular scenes between their two characters on the show.

Following Naya‘s tragic passing earlier this summer after a drowning accident, Demi shared a tribute to her one-time on screen girlfriend.

“RIP Naya Rivera. I’ll forever cherish the opportunity to play your girlfriend on Glee,” Demi wrote. “The character you played was groundbreaking for tons of closeted queer girls (like me at the time) and open queer girls, and your ambition and accomplishments were inspiring to Latina women all over the world.”
