Neil Diamond Gives Surprise Performance at Opening Night of Broadway's 'A Beautiful Noise'

Neil Diamond provided the opening night audience at A Beautiful Noise with the best surprise!

The legendary entertainer gave an impromptu performance of “Sweet Caroline” from his box seat at the show on Sunday night (December 4) at the Broadhurst Theatre in New York City.

Neil was joined at the performance by his wife Katie and more than 40 members of his family, including his children and grandchildren. His appearance marked his first New York performance since 2017.

After the show, Neil went backstage and posed with stars Will Swenson and Robyn Hurder.

Here is the show’s synopsis: “With his first break into songwriting in the 1960s and his meteoric rise in the 1970s, and plenty of crushing disappointments and heart-stopping triumphs along the way, Neil Diamond has maintained an almost unthinkable level of superstardom for five straight decades. How did a poor Jewish kid from Brooklyn become one of the most universally adored showmen of all time? There’s only one way to tell it: a musical set to his era-defining smash hits that entranced the world.”

A Beautiful Noise is now playing on Broadway. Will performs seven shows a week and American Idol winner Nick Fradiani is the alternate for the eighth show each week!
