Nelly Furtado and Brandy hit the 2012 Billboard Music Awards held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday (May 20) in Las Vegas.

The 33-year-old Canadian singer wore Alberta Ferretti, while Brandy, also 33, showed some leg in a low-cut mini dress.

Both singers have recently released some new music. Check out Brandy‘s “Put It Down” with Chris Brown and Nelly‘s “Big Hoops (Bigger the Better)” in case you missed them!

Nelly Furtado is back – and her hot new track, “Big Hoops (Bigger the Better),” is this week’s pick for JustJared.com and 102.7 KIIS-FM‘s JJ Music Monday!

The 33-year-old Canadian singer co-wrote the track with producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins for her upcoming fourth English album, The Spirit Indestructible, which drops June 19.

“I began writing these songs around the time I released my Spanish album Mi Plan,” Nelly shared.

“I was in a great headspace, feeling refreshed and ready to really deliver in English again. This album is all about positivity, youth, good energy, and the relentlessness of the spirit,” she added. “I want people to live this music the way we did when we wrote it. I want them to jump, dance, scream, laugh, cry, love, and vibe to it, and to turn it up very loud everywhere.”

The Somali-Canadian rapper and poet teamed up with Nelly for the catchy track – it’s the first single off his upcoming EP More Beautiful Than Silence, which will be released on Tuesday (January 24)!

This spring, K’naan will debut a full length album.

Dita Von Teese sits front and center next to singer Nelly Furtado at the Elie Saab ready-to-wear fashion show during Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010 at Espace Ephemere Tuileries on Wednesday (October 7) in France.

The 36-year-old burlesque stripping queen, who wore Ferragamo shoes with suede petals and micro stud detail said, “Elie Saab show was great, love the dresses with full-length zips down the back. Elegance with fun striptease function!”

Nelly Furtado has launched her ownl music label Nelstar Music and will introduce Toronto-based electro-dance band Fritz Helder & The Phantoms as the first act signed to the company.

“I’ve been thinking about a way to help Fritz Helder for a while and this venture grew out of my love for the band, their art and their work ethic. I am as committed as they are to bringing their creativity to the world,” says Nelly.
