More sad news for television fans today – NBC has announced that they have canceled The New Normal and some other shows as well.

The New Normal, which was created by Ryan Murphy and starred Justin Bartha and Andrew Rannells, was beloved by many fans and many thought it would be renewed.

Other shows that got the axe are Matthew Perry‘s Go On, Christina Applegate and Will Arnett‘s Up All Night, Whitney Cummings‘s Whitney, Jesse Bradford‘s Guys with Kids, Jenna Elfman‘s 1600 Penn, and Brian Williams‘ news show Rock Center.

In some better news, it was announced that Joel McHale‘s Community was renewed for a fifth season and that the new shows Black List, Night Shift, and Welcome to the Family were picked up for next season!

Rumer Willis and Jayson Blair hit the red carpet at the 2013 GLAAD Media Awards held at the JW Marriott Los Angeles at L.A. Live on Saturday (April 20) in Los Angeles.

The 24-year-old actress and the 28-year-old actor were joined by his New Normal co-stars Andrew Rannells, Justin Bartha, and Georgia King.

The New Normal is won the award this evening for Outstanding Comedy Series, beating out Glee, Go On, Happy Endings, and Modern Family. Congrats!

FYI: Rumer is wearing a Reformation dress. Georgia is wearing a Topshop dress. Justin is wearing an Elie Tahari suit.

Andrew Rannells and Justin Bartha film scenes for an upcoming episode of The New Normal on Monday (March 11) in Santa Monica, Calif.

The 34-year-old co-stars were joined by their cast mates Georgia King, Bebe Wood, and Nene Leakes for the gorgeous day of filming!

“I love my cast of The New Normal! We r family @Georgia_MayKing @AndrewRannells @AliAdler @MrRPMurphy ❤” Nene tweeted that day. Aw!!

The New Normal airs on Tuesdays on NBC!

Justin Bartha and Andrew Rannells hit the red carpet at the 2013 PaleyFest Panel for their show The New Normal on Wednesday (March 6) at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The guys were joined by their new guest star John Stamos, co-stars Georgia King, Jayson Blair, NeNe Leakes, and Bebe Wood, and executive producers Ali Adler and Dante Di Loreto.

During the panel, it was revealed that in an upcoming episode, there will be an entire act set just to the song “Beautiful Boy” and no dialogue.

FYI: Bebe is wearing a Sierra Julian dress and Sama Eyewear glasses. NeNe is wearing Lanvin with Giuseppe Zanotti shoes. Georgia is wearing a Rebecca Minkoff jacket.

Matt Bomer shows off his sexy shirtless body in these new stills from his recent guest appearance on The New Normal‘s latest episode.

The 35-year-old actor guest starred as the ex-boyfriend of Andrew Rannells‘ character Bryan who he tries to set up with one of his friends who also wants to have a family via surrogacy.

During his appearance, Matt was frequently featured working out without his shirt on. Don’t think anyone was complaining, right?!

Justin Bartha and Ellen Barkin dress up to film the Halloween episode for their series The New Normal on Monday (October 8) in Los Angeles.

The 34-year-old actor dressed up as a football player and was also joined by co-star Nene Leakes for the afternoon of filming.

In this week’s episode, Ryan Murphy is striking back at the One Million Moms organization that is boycotting his show by having Ellen‘s character recruit three potential future members to stop the playground wedding between her great-granddaughter Shania (Bebe Wood) and her flirty classmate, Wilbur (Isaak Presley). Matt Bomer is set to guest star on The New Normal as the ex-boyfriend of Andrew Rannells‘ character Bryan!

“Guess who’s coming on The New Normal as Bryan’s sexy ex-boyfriend? The one and only Matt Bomer!!!” series creator Ryan Murphy tweeted.

Both the guys have something in common – they have both played strippers! Matt famously stripped it off in Magic Mike while Andrew played a private party stripper in Bachelorette. Check out photos of Matt‘s “Ken Doll” striptease below!

Matt and Ryan previously worked together when the White Collar actor guest starred on Glee as Cooper Anderson, the older brother of Darren Criss‘ character.
