Here is what the 26-year-old British singer, an up-and-comer in the industry, had to share with the mag:
On how he reaches his fans: “My generation is a product of social media and clickbait. But my fans aren’t looking for someone to hit them with shock factor anymore, they want to be recognized on an emotional level. They want authenticity.”
On what music means to him: “Music is special to me because it grounds me in the present; and I want to make people feel good in the same way. To be in the moment, without inhibitions. Isn’t that the most difficult thing in this world?”
On being an artist: “Recording an album is a journey, at some point you realize you have created something that has a life of it’s own. You can decide where you start, but you never know where you will end up.”
