Ryan Gosling gets ready to fight in this new trailer for his upcoming film Only God Forgives.

The film follows Julian (Gosling), a drug-smuggler thriving in Bangkok’s criminal underworld, who sees his life get even more complicated when his mother (Kristin Scott Thomas) compels him to find and kill whoever is responsible for his brother’s recent death.

Only God Forgives, which reunited Ryan with his Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn, will hit theaters on July 19.

Ryan Gosling is a handsome devil in the red band trailer for his upcoming film Only God Forgives.

The 32-year-old actor re-teamed with his Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn for the film set in Thailand’s underground boxing world.

Here’s the synopsis: Julian (Gosling) lives in exile in Bangkok where he runs a Thai boxing club as a front for the family’s drugs smuggling operation. When Julian’s brother Billy is killed their mother, Jenna (Kristin Scott Thomas), arrives in the city. She wants revenge and forces Julian to find the killer. Julian’s contacts in the criminal underworld lead him directly to The Angel of Vengeance, a retired police officer who knows everything and who is both Judge and Punisher. Jenna demands that Julian kill The Angel of Vengeance, an act that will cost him dearly.

Ryan Gosling suits up in Gucci at the opening ceremony of the Hua Hin International Film Festival on Friday (January 27) at the InterContinental Resort in Hua Hin, Thailand.

The 31-year-old actor hit the red carpet with his Drive director, Nicolas Winding Refn, who arrived with wife Liv Corfixen, and Thai actress Krystal Vee.

“Ryan Gosling didn’t get an Academy nomination? There’s some bullshit right there,” Russell Crowe recently tweeted.

“Albert Brooks you were excellent in Drive. Excellent,” he wrote in another tweet.

Albert took to his own Twitter page to joke about the Oscar snub, writing, “I got ROBBED. I don’t mean the Oscars, I mean literally. My pants and shoes have been stolen.”
