In a recent interview, the 39-year-old actress and fashion designer is opening up about the impact of the series and revealed what she thinks of her own children trying out reality television in the future.

Katy Perry hangs out with her celeb twin Zooey Deschanel and Nicole Richie for the Baby2Baby Back2School event, presented by Stitch Fix Kids and Epic, on Wednesday afternoon (July 21) in Los Angeles.
The trio of moms stepped out for the event held in Boyle Heights, which is a community in Los Angeles battling increasingly high rates of income and housing insecurity due to the pandemic.
Over 95% of parents in the families who attended the event have either lost their jobs or had their work hours reduced.
The event provided families with basic essentials, while giving children a fun and memorable experience after such a devastating year.
Nicole was on-site to distribute clothing in the Stitch Fix Kids pop-up shop, where students could pick out brand new back to school outfits, provided through Stitch Fix Kids’ donation of more than $1 million worth of clothing for the children Baby2Baby serves across the country.
Meanwhile, Zooey worked in the Epic library and helped students stock up on Epic Originals books for the upcoming school year.
Baby2Baby was also able to supply families with the items they needed for the upcoming school year, including backpacks, school supplies, hygiene and safety items, groceries, diapers, sporting equipment and more.

Nicole Richie and Shannon Woodward are teaming up for a new show!
The two actresses have signed on to star in the upcoming pilot for the new comedy series Bucktown, Deadline reports.
Here’s the synopsis: “Bucktown centers on Amy (Woodward), who, after being dumped by her boyfriend and kicked out of her apartment on the eve of a big promotion, finds refuge at her mom’s house in the blue-collar neighborhood where she grew up. Amy reconnects with her teenage niece living there due to her sister’s latest rehab stint and resolves to stay when she realizes that her mom and niece aren’t quite equipped to go it alone.”
Nicole will be playing Jan, Amy’s boss. Her character is described as “a self-centered force who tends to suck up all the energy in a room” that has an “extremely unprofessional partnership” with her husband, Finn.
It was recently revealed that this reality star used to be Nicole Richie‘s assistant!

The 39-year-old jewelry designer’s close friend and sister-in-law Cameron Diaz revealed during an interview with Danny Pellegrino’s Everything Iconic podcast that Nicole still watches old episodes of Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey‘s reality show Newlyweds.
“She watches old Newlyweds on YouTube,” Cameron‘s Avaline Wine cofounder Katherine Power shared. “I’ve done that before. The two that I go back to on YouTube is Newlyweds and I’ve gone way back to Rich Girls on MTV.”
If you forgot, Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica ran on MTV for three seasons from 2003 to 2005 and followed the couple’s early days of marriage. The show ended in 2005 several months before they called it quits.
In her new memoir Open Book, Jessica revealed how she told Nick that she wanted a divorce.
Cameron Diaz had a cute reaction to a now viral tweet about her familial connection to Nicole Richie.
If you’re unaware, Nicole and Cameron are sisters-in-law, after they married musician twins Joel and Benji Madden, respectively.
In a tweet from fan Ashley Fern, she had written that “Nicole Richie & Cameron Diaz are sister in laws and I feel like we don’t talk about that enough.”
After her tweet was reposed by the Betches Instagram account, Cameron had a funny reaction to Ashley‘s post.
She wrote, “👯 [twin emoji] ?!? 🤯 [mind blown emoji] !!! 😉 [winky faces] @nicolerichie.”
Ashley saw Cameron‘s reaction to her tweet, and wrote back to her in the comment section, “I feel seen in all the best possible ways.”

Khloe Kardashian revealed she used to be Nicole Richie‘s personal assistant and how that job came to be.
“I was Nicole Richie‘s assistant and you [Simon Huck] were Jonathan Cheban‘s assistant and we met five faces ago,” Khloe joked, referring to the speculation about her cosmetic procedures while on the Emergency Contact podcast.
“I went to school with her,” Khloe continued. “She was one of my best friends growing up and we were just really, really close and then when she started doing Simple Life — I think it was after Simple Life — she just needed some help and I just needed a job.”
Meanwhile, Khloe‘s sister Kendall wants to be the personal assistant for this superstar.
