Lots of actors get their starts on soap operas and we’re taking a look at all of the famous actors who appeared on General Hospital before getting their big breaks elsewhere.

General Hospital has been airing on ABC since 1963 and just celebrated its 61st anniversary on April 1.

While many of the actors on the show have remained in their roles for decades, many celebs got their start on the soap opera and eventually broke into the world of film and primetime television.

Stars like James Franco, Chandra Wilson, Elizabeth Taylor, and more have had guest arcs on General Hospital after they were already famous, so we’re not including them here.

Jay Mohr has once again filed for divorce from his wife of ten years, Nikki Cox.

The 46-year-old Suburgatory actor had filed back in July, but withdrew the papers about a week later, according to TMZ.

Jay said at the time that they were “very in love….very happy and that’s really all there is.”

In the new documents, he cites irreconcilable differences, and wants joint legal and physical custody of their son Meredith, 5.

Jay originally asked for an emergency order for full custody claiming Nikki had an alleged drug problem.

Jay Mohr has called off his divorce from wife Nikki Cox less than a week after he filed the petition.

When the divorce was announced last week, Jay told TMZ that he and Nikki are “very in love. Very happy and that’s really are there is.”

Jay proved his statement by requesting a dismissal of his divorce petition on Monday (July 25) in Los Angeles. He also is dismissing the emergency petition to get full physical custody of their five-year-old son Meredith.

Sources told the outlet that the couple had a “full reconciliation” this weekend.

Despite the divorce, it seems that the couple plans on staying together as they released a statement to TMZ saying they are still happy together.

“We are very married. Very in love. Very happy and that’s really all there is,” the couple said.

Jay filed the documents on Tuesday and then on Wednesday filed an emergency petition for full physical custody of their five-year-old son Meredith Daniel. He says that Nikki is suffering from depression and worries that their child is at risk if left alone with her due to a “serious” and “ongoing” drug problem.

The divorce documents cite irreconcilable differences and the judge set a hearing for next month so he can hear both sides of the case.

The couple welcomed their first child, Meredith Daniel Mohr, on Thursday (May 5), JustJared.com can confirm.

“LIFE! I would rather learn from one bird how to sing than teach one thousand stars how not to dance. e.e. thanks to all of ur kind wishes,” Jay, 40, tweeted, later adding, “Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift! 2 Corinthians 9:15.”

“We are over the moon, filled with joy and every other cliché new parents use. [Meredith is] perfect,” Jay and Nikki, 32, told People about their new son.

Jay hosted the NHL Awards last Wednesday (June 23) in Las Vegas. The 39-year-old comedian is a huge hockey fan, so that was the perfect gig for him!
