The Book of Mormon stars Andrew Rannells, Rory O’Malley, and Nikki M. James hold onto some adorable dogs up for adoption at the 13th Annual Broadway Barks held in Shubert Alley on Saturday (July 9) in New York City.

Broadway Barks was started by veteran actresses Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore to promote the adoption of shelter animals.

Also in attendance at the annual event: Spider-Man: Turn of the Dark‘s Reeve Carney and Jennifer Damiano, as well as Catch Me If You Can star Aaron Tveit.

Andrew Rannells suits up on the red carpet at the 2011 Tony Awards held at the Beacon Theatre on Sunday (June 12) in New York City.

The Book of Mormon star was joined on the carpet by his co-star Nikki M. James.

Andrew is up for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical tonight while Nikki is nominated for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical.

The Book of Mormon is up for a total 14 nominations in all, including Best Musical, Best Score, and Best Book!

Andrew Rannells and Rory O’Malley suit up for the NYC opening night party of his new Broadway musical The Book of Mormon on Thursday (March 24).

The Book of Mormon follows a pair of mismatched Mormon boys sent on a mission to a place that is as far from Salt Lake City as you can get… Uganda.

Just Jared spywitnesses overheard Paul Rudd and Bill Hader gushing to Andrew about how brilliant and hilarious he is. Comedy praise doesn’t get much better than that!

The New York Times calls the song “Turn It Off,” a “hilarious chorus-line piece… destined to make a star of its lead singer and dancer, Rory O’Malley,” and we agree!

The reviews for the show have been overwhelmingly positive with raves coming in from the NYT, Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, and countless others. Just Jared thought the show was hilarious!
