Beyonce Once Opened Up About Her Previous Heartbreaking Miscarriage

Beyonce may be celebrating being pregnant with twins, but unfortunately her road to a family wasn’t always easy.

Before having her daughter Blue Ivy, the 35-year-old entertainer suffered a miscarriage which she opens up about in her HBO documentary, Life is But a Dream.

In the documentary, Beyonce spoke extremely candidly about the pain and heartbreak she and husband Jay Z experienced after the miscarriage.

“Being pregnant was very much like falling in love,” Beyonce said. “You are so open. You are so overjoyed. There’s no words that can express having a baby growing inside of you, so of course you want to scream it out and tell everyone.”

After learning she suffered from a miscarriage, Beyonce said she wrote the “saddest song” she has ever written.

“And it was actually the first song I wrote for my album. And it was the best form of therapy for me, because it was the saddest thing I’ve ever been through,” she said.

After the documentary was released, Beyonce sat down for an interview with Oprah where she explained that she went public with the miscarriage in order to help other couples who went through the same situation.

“I felt like there are so many couples that go through that and it was a big part of my story,” Beyonce said.

VIDEO: Debbie Reynolds & Carrie Fisher Perfectly Explain Their Mother-Daughter Dynamic in 2011 Oprah Interview

Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher were a tight pair.

The late actresses appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show back in 2011 in which they opened up about their mother-daughter dynamic.

“The funniest thing is my mother goes on the road and works,” Carrie said. “She gets up and puts her face on and her hair on, and she’s just…alive. At a time in her life when a lot of people are getting ready not to be. My mother is bigger than ever.”

“I follow her example and I respect who she is. And if I’m like her in any way, I’m very very happy,” Carrie added.

Debbie said, “I admire her strength and survival. I admire that she’s alive. She has chosen to make it. It would have been easy to give up and give in, to keep doing drugs. I feel that as a mother, I will protect her. Who will do that when I’m gone?”

“I want happiness for my daughter,” she added. “I want Carrie to be happy.”

Debbie sadly died of a stroke just a day after Carrie passed from cardiac arrest.
