The 36-year-old Orange is the New Black actress was joined on the red carpet by co-stars Danielle Brooks, Taylor Schilling, and Natasha Lyonne.

Other OITNB stars that were spotted on the red carpet included a very pregnant Yael Stone, Laura Gomez, Lea Delaria, Taryn Manning, Abigail Savage, Annie Golden, and Kimiko Glenn.

Kimiko is wearing a Peter Langner gown. Abigail is wearing a Calvin Klein shirt, Topshop blazer, and Tripp pants. Danielle Brooks rose to fame thanks to her work on the hit Netflix series Orange Is the New Black, but she almost didn’t accept the part!

The 27-year-old actress, who plays Taystee, says the nudity on the show almost persuaded her from taking the job.

“To be honest I didn’t know Orange was going to be one of those dream jobs,” Danielle told People. “I almost turned it down in the beginning because there was possibility for nudity, but I’m really glad I didn’t do that.”

“Getting to work with so many incredible women and getting to play this character that has just grown tremendously throughout the season – I just pray for 100 times more chances like this in my career,” she added.

Danielle‘s success on Orange Is the New Black led to her Broadway debut in The Color Purple, which earned her a Tony nomination.

Danielle Brooks was one of the best parts of Orange Is the New Black‘s fifth season and we hope that the Emmys recognize her individually for the first time this year. Sadly for fans, she might not be in the show past the seventh season.

The 27-year-old actress opened up to EW about her future with the hit Netflix series, which might even end with the seventh season.

“We have until seven for sure. To be honest, I don’t know if I want to play an inmate past that,” Danielle said. “I don’t know if I want to do that because I have a lot in me and a lot that I want to share with the world and different characters I want to be able to bring to life. After seven, I think it might be time for me to spread my wings, but I don’t want to speak too fast on that.”

We’d be sad to see Taystee leave the show!

Fans of Orange Is the New Black who have already binged the just released fifth season were delighted to see some cameos from former stars of the Netflix series!

Laverne Cox and the cast of Orange Is The New Black are celebrating their upcoming fifth season!

The 33-year-old actress stepped out at the show’s event on Friday night (June 9) at Catch restaurant in West Hollywood, Calif.

She was joined by her pregnant co-star Laura Prepon, who was showing off her baby bump on the carpet!

Other OITNB cast members in attendance included Lea Delaria, Alysia Reiner, Taylor Schilling, Asia Kate Dillon, Danielle Brooks, Diane Guerrero, Jackie Cruz, Uzo Aduba and Natasha Lyonne.

Spoilers if you haven’t watched the last season of Orange is the New Black ahead!

Last season, Samira Wiley‘s character was killed off of the show in a prison riot. Now, Samira is reflecting on the show’s fifth season without her character.

“I’m looking forward to watching the season and have no idea what is happening,” Samira told USA Today, adding she’s “honored that Poussey was such a huge influence on the show, and (she) has such a big resonance with people who are watching it. I think it will probably be a little weird, but I think it will also feel good to see that she doesn’t just go away, that hopefully, people will be talking about her for a long time in the show. And in the world, too.”

The new season of Orange is the New Black is set to debut on Netflix tomorrow.

Danielle Brooks and Natasha Lyonne sit down for an interview at the Build Series on Thursday (June 1) at AOL in London, England.

The ladies were there to talk about the upcoming fifth season of their Netflix series Orange Is the New Black, which debuts on June 9.

Danielle, Natasha, Taylor Schilling, and Uzo Aduba caught a performance of Dreamgirls on the West End the night before and caught up with the show’s star Amber Riley backstage.
