Things are reportedly getting heated in the Yellowstone world, and it has to do with salary negotiations for the spinoff series set in the present day.

Paramount released a ton of Yellowstone news today (May 18) at the 2022 Paramount Upfronts in New York City.

In addition to the previously announced news of the cast of 1932 that was announced this week, the network and showrunner Taylor Sheridan also revealed a few other details about the Western series and its’ franchise.

'Cops' Canceled at Paramount Network Amid Police Brutality Protests

Cops is canceled.

The long-running half-hour documentary reality crime show is coming to an end at Paramount Network amid global protests condemning systemic racism and police brutality in the wake of George Floyd‘s murder, Deadline confirmed on Tuesday (June 9).

Cops is not on the Paramount Network and we don’t have any current or future plans for it to return,” a Paramount Network spokesperson told the outlet.

The show first premiered on Fox in 1989, airing for 25 seasons, and was rebooted in 2013 at Spike TV, which rebranded as Paramount Network in 2018. The series has been off the air since June 1.

Similarly, A&E pulled episodes of its docuseries, Live PD, amid protests, and is “still evaluating the right time to bring it back though a return this weekend appears unlikely at the moment.”
