If you watch Paul Giamatti in the new movie The Holdovers, you might be left wondering: is that his real eye?

The 56-year-old Oscar-nominated actor stars in the new film as a teacher at a boarding school who is forced to spend Christmas break as the guardian to a handful of students who don’t have anywhere to go for the holidays.

Paul‘s character is described as a curmudgeon with an odor problem and he also has a glass eye. Director Alexander Payne reportedly had only Paul in mind for the role.

“I was deeply touched,” he joked in an interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. “How can I not. The part is fantastic. It’s a fantastic part. Smelling like fish was just the cherry on top. It really was.”

Paul Giamatti is a new enemy in the upcoming second season of HBO’s 30 Coins!

The first trailer for the final season of Billions has arrived!

The brand new season will bring back Damian Lewis opposite Paul Giamatti, Corey Stoll and Maggie Siff, and will return on Friday, August 11.

Each of the 12 episodes will stream weekly on Paramount+ with Showtime, and the season will also launch that Sunday, August 13 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Showtime.

Here’s a quick summary for the final season: Alliances are turned on their heads. Old wounds are weaponized. Loyalties are tested. Betrayal takes on epic proportions. Enemies become wary friends, and Bobby Axelrod returns, as the stakes grow from Wall Street to the world.

Billions will also star David Costabile, Asia Kate Dillon, Dola Rashad, Jeffrey DeMunn, Sakina Jaffrey, Daniel Breaker and Toney Goins.

In addition to Billions, find out what other shows have been renewed for Showtime.

The second half of Billions‘ fifth season will be released later this year and Showtime just announced the premiere date!

The first half of the season aired back in May and June 2020 and fans have been waiting for a full year now for the rest of the episodes.

The final five episodes of season five will premiere on Sunday, September 5 at 9pm ET/PT on Showtime. The show has also been renewed for a sixth season, which will premiere early next year.
